Nothing Beats Real Tube Tone!

The guitar freaks here at Sweetwater love the sound of real tube overdrive, and the Behringer Vintage Tube Monster VT999 guitar pedal delivers. For starters, this beast boosts your signal with the help of a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube, serving up oodles of gain, sustain, and sweet harmonics. But there are lots of places you can take tube tone like that, and thanks to the VT999's comprehensive set of controls, getting there is easy. On the way in, an adjustable noise gate (more like a gentle expander) keeps any hiss on the line from frying your sound. There are separate Gain and Master volume controls on the VT999 too, and 3-band EQ does a killer job shaping your tone, allowing you to dial in anything from a scooped lead to a punchy and present riff tone.

Behringer Vintage Tube Monster VT999 Guitar Effects Pedal Features:
  • Smooth and sweet overdrive effect offers a wide range of boosted guitar tone
  • Real 12AX7 preamp tube provides warm, even-order harmonics for real tube-amp sound
  • Adjustable Noise Gate gently cuts pickup hiss out of your signal path
  • Separate Gain and Master volume controls let you fire up your sound without overloading your amp
  • 3-band EQ lets you sculpt your tone to perfection
  • True-bypass switching preserves your tone when the effect is off
  • Runs off of the included Behringer 9V DC power supply
Dial in sweet and smooth overdrive with the Behringer Vintage Tube Monster VT999!

Great pedal

This pedal is an awesome value. I was happy with the stock tube but I did swap it for the Tung-Sol and it was a better fit. The noise gate that is built in works well. $! Really? With its own power supply. Everyone should get one of these.

First I tried it in the effects loop and loved the noise gate but the distortion was fizzy. Then I put it in front of the amps clean channel and cranked up the gain. I'm using a Eggnator Rebel 30 through a Mesa Widebody cab and it was just incredible. I have a unit that I have not been able to get to sound this good. I'm happy with the other pedal but for I like this one the best and it's dirt cheap. I ordered a fancy NOS 12AX7 tube to see if I can improve it but it's super impressive with the tube it came with. I may get another cause it's such a bargain.

Behringer's OWNS the niche this pedal fills!

Botique quality at bargain price, for real. Wanna upgrade and have fun doing it? Get the Bitmo kit and replace tube with a Mesa Boogie from Sweetwater. Awesome for the front-end of an SS amp, beyond compare placed before a tube amp. The noise gate works like a high $ unit. I use in the DRIVE section of pedal board, and have found the Behringer noise gate pedal with effect loop carries the day on the MODULATION side of the pedal board. I am gladly eating my previous criticism of Behringer pedals. Save your $,buy Behringer if you're a Basement Bad***. When you become a gigging pro, then spend the dough for name-brands. Otherwise, you bought the hype and not the honesty.

great pedal, better than i expected!!!

First the bugera tube isn't bad at all, but i switched to a mullard long plate 12ax7 and sound amazing but don't stop there, now i put a telefunken 12ax7 long plate now we are taking about, those who know tubes understand what i mean!!!, more than happy with the unit!!!!

Behringer VT999

I'm giving this a 5 based on the bang for the buck. You can't lose with this pedal. I thought my amp sounded pretty good, but I put this in front of it and it really changed my tone for the better. The noise gate actually works and the knobs are nice and big. Besides, with Sweetwater's return policy, you can just return it if you don't like it, but I think you will.
