I suspect the person who gave this a negative review failed to read that the light resin is formulated for hot and humid weather. In cold and dry weather you'll want the darker resin. I use this for a 5 string electric violin mainly. No complaints whatsoever. No mess, works great, lasts a long time.

This rosin doesn't last long when applied to a bow, the moment I started applying it the plastic grip that's applied to it fell off, it doesn't do much for the tone of the strings, and other than wrapping it in a dusting cloth there's not a whole lot you can do to protect this. There's better options out there for the same price.
