Preamp, Effects, and Impressive Versatility

More than a guitar preamp, effects processor and floor controller, the ISP Technologies Theta Pro DSP pedal is ready to be the heart of your guitar rig. It's a fully-programmable digital version of ISP's acclaimed Theta Preamp, and it can serve up ultra-high-gain tone with no aliasing. Create your own custom effects chain, then simultaneously drive your amplifier rig while sending speaker-emulated outputs direct to the PA system. Guitarists and engineers at Sweetwater are impressed with the versatility of the ISP Technologies Theta Pro DSP pedal, and we're sure you'll find it more than capable both on stage and in the studio.

ISP Technologies Theta Pro DSP Preamp Pedal at a Glance:
  • Your one-stop tone shop for electric guitar
  • True Speaker emulated output for huge tone without a speaker cabinet
  • Ultra-quiet operation with Decimator noise reduction built in
Your one-stop tone shop for electric guitar

In all, the ISP Technologies Theta Pro DSP pedal can serve several duties in your guitar rig. It's a tone-packed preamplifier with impressive sonic range - from rich and clean to the highest-gain tone, this preamp has you covered. You get a range of great-sounding effects, with individual control over each from the smart switching layout. Build exciting effects chains with a wah, compressor, multistage stereo phaser, stereo flanger, tremolo, four-voice chorus, pitch shifter, stereo rotary speaker, 1,300 millisecond delay, stereo ping-pong delay, and reverb. Save up to 256 of your custom presets for instant recall. When you're ready to rock you can plug into your power amplifier, send a speaker emulated output direct to the sound system or recording device, or even both simultaneously. There's even a tuner (accurate to a 1/2 cent) onboard!

True Speaker emulated output for huge tone without a speaker cabinet

ISP Technologies calls the Theta Pro DSP's speaker-emulated technology "True Speaker" convolution, because you have practically as much control over your tone as if you were miking a real guitar amplifier's speaker. It emulates vintage speaker models with amazing results, and you can alter the sound by repositioning the virtual microphone. Whether you want to record in your studio without a loud speaker cabinet, or want to reduce volume on stage during gigs, you'll appreciate the flexibility of the Theta Pro DSP preamp pedal.

Ultra-quiet operation with Decimator noise reduction built in

You won't struggle with buzz and hum with the Theta Pro DSP in your guitar rig. It has ISP Technologies' acclaimed Decimator noise reduction technology built right in, and it's ready to cut out noise without affecting your tone or playing dynamics. Even if your tone relies on ultra-high gain settings, your rig will be whisper quiet when you're not playing.

ISP Technologies Theta Pro DSP Preamp Pedal Features:
  • Preamp and multi-effects pedal for electric guitar

Reviews

Theta Pro after all these years
I know these have been around for a while now, but honestly, I've been looking for this for decades. I heard a guy by the name of Danny Malloy playing through one of these and everything he played was just so sweet. It has such a wide range of sounds and surprisingly easy to configure. This will probably be the last piece I ever buy. I'm done now.
Music background: Christian, blues, rock, etc
Theta
If you purchase the Theta get the small 100 watt amp and slanted cabinet. You will thank me. Best unit on the market.
Music background: Guitar playing gigs 45 plus yrs. owner of everything sold in stores this is awesome.
The Best
I have heard one of these and am ready to pull the trigger. I have talked to ISP and they are actively working on placing a USB port in for firmware updates. Once this is implemented I will be pulling the trigger on this unit...And yes I have heard fractal, Line-6, and Kemper but this is the one that is the keeper.
The Best
This product is probably the best piece of gear I have ever purchased . I've been playing for decades and the flexibility and tones this thing delivers are simply remarkable . I understand it's pretty pricey , but it is well worth the cost . You won't need anything other than this unit if you're a serious guitarist , plain and simple . Purchase a simple self-powered floor monitor if you want an isolated feed for hearing yourself live and you're all set .
Thanks , Sweetwater.
Amazing Preamp
I saw this demonstrated at NAMM 2018. The sound was crystal clear and in stereo. Being technologically challenged, I was hesitant to consider anything other than a tube amp to play thru. Since I mostly play solo to backing tracks, I always struggle to match volume levels between my amps and my sound system. I saw this as a potential fix for that problem. I was right. I also liked the fact that is was foot switchable and wasn't overloaded with too many user inputs - in other words, it's pretty straight forward considering all it does. I now have this connected to my board. Volume matching is very easy. Building your own presets is allot easier than I thought it would be. I now have songs saved, with each song having it's unique presets. For example, clean and dirty; or, rhythm and lead for a given song. No more multiple pedal arrangements and loosing settings on individual pedals because a knob gets moved. No more loading 60 lb. amps. It's rugged, dependable and the sound quality is in it's own league. I know that sounds cliché, but it's true. The demo at NAMM sounded like I was wearing headphones but it was two floor speakers. Also, a word about ISP: The customer service is wonderful.
