Value-packed Tele Thinline with '60s Vibe

The Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline '60s celebrates one of the world's most instantly recognizable guitars, with added modern features. Boasting a chambered nato body with the classic natural finish, single F-hole, and curvy 4-ply pearloid pickguard, the Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline '60s harkens back to the Teles that launched a musical revolution, while two Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups serve up legendary Tele twang. Check out this Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline '60s and tap into iconic Telecaster tone at an affordable price.

The '60s Tele Thinline experience

Certain electric guitars are credited with shaping modern music, and the 1960s Fender Telecaster Thinline is certainly one of the most iconic of them all. With this Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline '60s, you can have a similar vintage tone and look at a price that any guitarist can afford. From the 3-saddle string-through-body bridge and vintage-style tuners to the bound body and 4-ply pearloid pickguard, this Tele is a smooth performer with unmistakable '60s vibe.

Custom set of alnico single-coil pickups

The discerning guitarists at Sweetwater know that to get a real vintage sound from a guitar, you need to start with great pickups. The Fender-designed alnico single-coil Tele pickups in the Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline '60s nail those classic tones. You'll love the clear, punchy sounds, which are perfect for playing country, blues, jazz, rock, or pop. Sonically (and visually), these pickups extend the vintage appeal of this guitar.

Vintage appointments with modern playability

The pearloid pickguard, single F-hole, alnico pickups, 3-saddle bridge, and vintage tuning keys cover the vintage side of things. But the 9.5" fingerboard radius gives you a comfortable playing surface that allows for wider string bends than the 7.25" radius of vintage guitars. While being rounded enough for comfortable chording, this radius is perfect for double-stop bends, wide vibrato, and even bends over a whole step. And the modern C-shaped neck feels just right, smoothing the way for fleet-fingered fretting.

Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Thinline '60s Features:

  • Chambered nato body; gloss polyurethane finish
  • 4-ply pearloid pickguard
  • Maple neck, "C" profile
  • Maple fingerboard, 9.5" radius, dot inlays
  • 25.5" scale length, 21 Narrow Tall frets
  • Fender-designed alnico single-coil bridge and neck pickups
  • 3-way pickup selector; master Volume and Tone controls
  • 3-saddle string-through-body bridge
  • 1.65" bone nut
  • Vintage-style tuners

Reviews

Excellent choice for a tele
I've long been a fan of Fender's Squier series. They stand up well to their big brother's versions, and you don't have to sell a kidney to afford one. This Classic vibe thin line is no exception. Tone and playability are top notch out of the box. I've been playing for decades, so this is now part of my arsenal for stage and studio. I may swipe out electronics later, but they are more than adequate. This guitar is not just for beginners. You will be very happy with this purchase!

Working Mans Guitar
This Squire Thinline is an incredible guitar for the money. The pickups are great stock. The Tuners are vintage style and hold tune well. The neck has rolled fingerboard edges and the fretwork is impeccable! The body is Nato I didn't really care I just needed a light weight guitar and I wanted it Telecaster shaped. The pots and the switch work very well. It cleans up beautifully! This guitar could be all you need to get through a set. You don't have have to worry about it at a gig. I had a Baja telecaster that weighted 10 pounds, and this was 5 pounds 10 oz! Plus it has better fret work than the Baja.

Great guitar! Tone monster!
Tone monster! This guitar has medium tall frets which are great for string bending & vibratos. This makes a great blues guitar. Workmanship was solid. Mine is darker than the site photos. I also modified mine with Duncan pickups, Gibson style 3-way switch and a black pickguard.
Great guitar at a reasonable price
I've always liked the tele body shape better than the strat, but have preferred the feel and variety of tones I get with the strat. This tele arrived in tune and intonated, no blemishes on finish, and I've really enjoyed playing it. Tone is great. I really like guitars that show natural wood grain vs. paint - the natural red finish is beautiful and the thinline body is very light on my shoulders for long gigs. Love it!!
Music background: Gigging musician
Excellent buy
I like my MIM tele, but it weighs eight and a half pounds. I bought this Squier to get a lighter tele. I was not disappointed. At under six pounds, this Squier hit the spot. All guitars should be this weight. The guitar is beautiful, drop dead gorgeous, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fretwork. Fret ends were perfectly dressed. String height and compensation were good. The nut slots needed work, but I have never purchased a guitar that didn't need to get the slots lowered. The tone is a bit brighter than I expected, but I can live with that. All in all this is a great guitar at a great price.
