Sturdy Dynamic Mic with Excellent Off-axis Rejection

Great mic with a switch
First off it's a really good sounding dynamic mic. I was looking for one with a switch so that I could turn it off when I'm not using it - I'm a drummer and sometimes have to do some background/harmony vocals and we don't always have someone to run sound. I also wanted it to be a dynamic so that when the switch turned on and off it would not pop (Like a condenser that uses phantom power would) - it doesn't. So it's been working great for me and the price was very reasonable too.

Terrific Microphone - Really!!!
I got this microphone as a backup and, wow, it's now my main microphone! I have an EV ND767a and a Telefunken M81, which are both excellent microphones, but this Beyerdynamic mic surprised the heck out of me. With my voice, it is perfect. It has such a balanced sound, the right amount of bottom, mids, and top, with excellent clarity in the mids. Not too much in the mids to sound honky or peaky, but just enough to cut through a band mix. The other vocalist now has one, too, and with his strong deep voice, this mic excels at adding much need mid clarity to his voice. He was using a Shure SM58, but now that is his backup mic.
