DSP and Ultranet in a Portable Stage Wedge

Few powered monitor wedges offer the kind of sophistication that makes the Turbosound TFX122M-AN such a valuable addition to your PA system. Loaded with a powerful Class D Klark Teknik amplifier, this monitor wedge delivers 1,100 watts of clear sound. What's more, custom coaxial drivers ensure that the sound is consistent, no matter where you're standing, and thanks to onboard Klark Teknik DSP, getting the perfect balance from your TFX122M-AN is easy. Top it off with Ultranet digital-audio connectivity, and you're ready to integrate your TFX122M-AN into your high-tech PA rig.

Coaxial speakers sound perfect anywhere onstage

Most monitor wedges come equipped with either a single full-range driver, which tends to miss a lot of high frequencies, or separate bass and treble drivers that make them sound different depending on which side is closer to you. Turbosound eliminates both of these problems with their custom 2-way coaxial speaker design. The TFX122M-AN's concentric speaker arrangement places a 1" high-frequency driver at the center of the 12" low-frequency driver, so all the sound projects from the same point. You'll be amazed by how clear these monitors sound.

  • Coaxial speakers deliver centralized sound for consistent monitoring
  • 12" driver with low-mass coil provides strong lows and clear transients
  • Titanium-dome 1" compression driver reproduces smooth highs

Onboard Klark Teknik DSP delivers superb sound

Thanks to its built-in DSP from Klark Teknik, the Turbosound TFX122M-AN powered loudspeaker delivers superb sound, no matter where you are. You get easy-to-use dynamic EQ for impressive full-range response at low volume levels and transparent limiting for killer sound at high output levels. You also get DSP presets that have been optimized for a wide range of applications and speaker orientations.

  • Powerful onboard DSP lets you adjust critical settings
  • DSP covers input configuration, EQ, delay, and more
  • Program DSP via the LCD controls or USB/software

Ultranet technology makes digital audio easy

The TFX122M-AN features full compatibility with Behringer's Ultranet communications platform. Ultranet allows you to send digital audio between your compatible mixer and speakers (available at Sweetwater) via standard Cat 5 Ethernet cables. It's perfect for long cable runs and delivers up to 16 channels of pristine digital audio on a single cable. What's more, each TFX122M-AN includes both an Ultranet input and an Ultranet output, allowing you to daisy-chain multiple speakers.

  • Receives digital audio from other Ultranet sources
  • Cat 5 Ethernet supports extremely long cable runs
  • Ultranet Thru port lets you daisy-chain speakers

Lightweight Class D amplifier for serious power

The Turbosound TFX122M-AN powered loudspeaker provides you with enormous power and incredible sonic performance in an easy-to-use, lightweight package. Klark Teknik's Class D amplifier technology makes all the difference, giving you phenomenal energy efficiency and eliminating the need for heavy power supplies and massive heat sinks.

  • High-power, lightweight Class D amp onboard
  • Produces 1100 watts of output with little heat
  • Capable of producing 125dB peak output SPL

Turbosound TFX122M-AN Powered Stage Monitor Features:

  • Sophisticated 2-way stage wedge that's perfect for mobile PA systems
  • Klark Teknik Class D power amp delivers 1100 watts of output
  • Coaxial 12" LF/1" HF drivers provide centralized sound for consistent projection
  • Klark Teknik DSP lets you easily dial in EQ, delay, and other critical system settings
  • Adjust settings via PC remote control software or LCD screen
  • Ultranet digital audio networking integrates with other mixers and speakers
  • Low-profile design looks good and provides 60-degree/40-degree dispersion
  • Fiberglass-reinforced 5/8" plywood provides added protection and stability

Reviews

Serious power for a small package!
Being a live sound engineer, I was a bit reluctant to purchase these. Reading what was on paper versus live element, you're not always going to get everything you read or spec'd from the MFG. However, I was so glad I did purchase them, they have been amazing and all the bands and musicians I had prior to Covid LOVED these on stage. Ringing out the room with these is somewhat troublesome (which is a good thing!) They are not as loud as my K12.2, but what they do offer is a smaller footprint and Coaxial speaker design which a lot of musicians like, they do get loud for even the most demanding guitar players and singers as well. I picked up 6 of these and love using them. Looking forward to picking a few more whenever they become available again.

Melted My Face!
During Covid, myself and my bud that front the Band, Ain't Dead Yet, stayed tight by doing shows as an unplugged duo. We put 2 of these TFX 122m"s from Sweetwater in front of us and brought them up and never eq'd the acoustic guitars or vocal mics..We looked at each other and big time smiled! Don't know how the top the line turbos could be any better.Have to save for that day! For now, Best monitor mix ever!

Great Monitor. The Price Is Just A Plus.
I've had these guys for a good month or so now, andhave used them on about 10 gigs. I do sound for a couple local bands, and the only thing I've been getting from the members is, "The sound on stage is perfect!" And, "It's so great to actually hear myself!" Everybody loves them, and they're half the price of the EVs.

Build quality is solid. They're wood cabinets that have extra plastic over the sides for protection. They have an EQ, a crossover, and different placement settings. I don't understand that feedback protection, but I haven't had any problems with feedback yet, so...win.

The only downside to these is that they're fairly heavey for their size. That's the 4 star instead of 5.

I have owned 4 of them for over a year

Very impressed with the sound and volume and ease of setup with cat5 daisy chain thru behringer ultranet

Worth the money to save my sound
I purchased two of these for my band because, as the drummer, I was tired of getting blasted by the guitar and bass monitors. The angle would be pointed right at my face (we have our own drum riser), while the sound was hitting them in the knees. The angle of these monitors points at their faces, and the sound is crisp, clear, and LOUD. Now they can have their mix so they can hear clearly and I'm not getting blown away. They have been great for us!
