A Standard Approach to an Iconic Guitar

When you’re ready to experience quintessential Fender design and playability, look no further than the Fender Standard Stratocaster. Built with the player in mind, the standard design allows beginners and aficionados alike to experience essential Fender features that make the brand’s guitars the first choice of so many Sweetwater guitarists. With a satin-finished and time-tested modern C-shaped neck and a 9.5-inch-radius maple fingerboard, this guitar is immensely comfortable for both chords and individually fretted notes. The Standard Single-coil Strat pickups offer the iconic snappy tone, with high-output ceramic magnets that offer a more aggressive sound at full volume. Achieve patented Strat vibrato and dynamic versatility with the onboard 2-point synchronized tremolo system, complete with even tension that is easy to use and stays in tune. Whether you’re buying your first guitar or looking to add some Strat sparkle to your collection, the Standard Stratocaster offers all the playability, tonality, and style a Fender guitar can provide.

Tried-and-true design

The Fender Stratocaster is one of the most widely recognized and popular electric guitar designs worldwide. Its S-shaped body features dual cutaways for easy fretboard access, and its sleek tapered edges are comfortable for any player. This Standard Stratocaster is a no-frills representation of that legacy, capturing the beloved style and sound in one approachable instrument.

Versatile single-coil pickups

With three ceramic single-coil pickups, the Standard Strat offers a spectrum of tonal variety. The Standard Single-coil Strat pickups supply bright, smooth, clean tones that are at home in any genre, with high-output ceramic magnets that can push your amp into crunchier tones. This versatile guitar makes the perfect platform for experimenting with your sound and dialing in your setup. Use it to practice or perform across various styles with multiple techniques.

C-shaped perfection

The Standard Stratocaster's neck sports Fender's much-loved modern C shape. Combined with the 9.5-inch radius of the fretboard, this neck is excellent at reducing tension in your hand. Easy to play, the maple neck fits comfortably in the hand, allowing plenty of room to fret complex chords, pick out simple melodies, or shred through scales. The satin finish is smooth without being tacky, keeping your movements fluid, while the maple fretboard adds a splash of darkness to the guitar’s aesthetic.

Fender Standard Stratocaster Features:

  • Standard design offers Fender style with essential Stratocaster playability and features
  • Satin-finished modern C maple neck with maple fingerboard maximizes speed and comfort
  • 9.5-in. fingerboard radius is comfortable, smooth, and accessible
  • Standard Single-coil Strat pickups supply iconic snappy tone with high enough output for crunchier tones
  • 2-point synchronized tremolo system is easy to use and stays in tune

Second one
The first fender strat I bought from sweet water was one of the best guitars i ever played...extremely satisfied
indo strat
Have been trying to decide on a new strat for awhile now, but like buying a car off the lot...always one thing (or more)i wish was different. had just about given up, was looking at mij used maybe? didn't want narrow tall frets, gloss neck or big headstock-or 7.25 radius lnol. only burst colors I liked were too spendy for me, Oly white signature models were an option, but didn't like any of the pups...GRRR!! Like a gift from above...thank you NAMM!! EXACTLY what I wanted! swapped out pups for pure vintage '65's and it's done. haha so weird...had to drop b string saddle a smidge to be perfect , but straight outta the box it was right about there.i'm sure the not made in America bothers some, but for me not having one wrong thing was more important haha! the fender on the headstock was a bonus...ended up as probably my finest instrument-absolutely sings with the low output pups...and sooo stratty with the middle rwrp, best move ever!! like my dream guitar from childhood(born in 1965) Jimi,Eric,Jeff...uhh Yngwie haha yup like that!! good goin Fender and thanks again Sweetwater!!

Excellent Value
I just received my Standard Strat. Right out of the box, everything was perfect: string height, neck relief, intonation, electronics, bridge height, saddle height, and nut cut. I was particularly drawn to the pickups having ceramic magnets as opposed to alnico magnets. To my ears, the ceramic magnets make the individual stings sound a little more distinct and have a bit more clarity. While I've been an ES335 player for years, I have to confess, this Strat is fun to play. Now for the best part. The price! You'd be hard pressed to find a better value. This is an excellent, high-quality instrument and for a very, very reasonable price. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, and based on the above-mentioned notes, I'd recommend this guitar.
Music background: 55 years' experience. I just love playing.
New Standard series stratocaster

I purchased this guitar recently and I am very happy with it.

I own multiple fender strats including a player 2 and a classic vibe 60s.

Most noticeable is the hardware is pretty good, much better than the classic vibe.

Full size trem, tuners feel and work well. The pots have a slight resistance to them that feels quality.

To the people who are concerned about the stock ceramic pickups, don't be. They sound much fuller than stock cv alincos.

Roll a little tone off the bridge and I dig it

The neck had no fret sprout(my player 2 had a little). It was slightly less finished than the player 2, but smoothed out quickly while playing.

This is a solid strat,I was very comfortable purchasing at $ might be a stretch

Music background: 7 year home guitarist/ gear flipper
Good value for a cool guitar
When I receive this, I straighten the neck and lower the action a bit at the bridge, but this guitar is beautiful and it plays very nicely. I recommend it especially for the money.

It’s impossible to imagine a world without Fender guitars, and if you’re like many of the guitarists at Sweetwater, then Fender not only made the first guitar you ever bought " they made the last one too! As one of the world’s largest Fender dealers, we have countless guitars, basses, amps, effects pedals, and accessories in stock and ready to ship, whenever you need them. We’re always getting our hands on their latest creations, and there’s nothing we love more than to tell our customers all about them!
