Engineered for Speed

Prepare to achieve high-gain heroics! The Jackson American Series Soloist HT offers classic metal tones, a swift neck, and a luxurious ebony fingerboard. Everything revolves around a neck-through maple neck carved into Jackson’s signature Speed Neck profile. Two alder body wings are attached to the neck for a balanced tonal profile. The neck-through construction technique makes the instrument more stable and boosts resonance. Plug in, and the EMG 81 and 85 pickups instantly deliver the kind of high-output tone that makes them an enduring favorite among metal players. Plus, the hardtail bridge improves tuning stability and vibration transfer. Ready to step up to the next level? Get a Jackson American Series Soloist HT and vault your chops into the stratosphere.

A solid tonal foundation

The American Series Soloist’s body is built from alder, the tonewood of choice for many metal heroes. Alder is a relatively lightweight and resonant tonewood with a balanced sonic profile that lets your pickups do the talking. The S-shaped body is a nod to the “super” guitars of yesteryear, with a forearm contour for enhanced comfort. A neck-through maple neck and compound radius ebony fingerboard round out this outstanding guitar’s tonal complement.

Active EMG pickups

You’ll love how your new American Series Soloist sounds plugged into your effects chain. This solidbody electric guitar comes with two active EMG humbuckers: an EMG 85 in the neck position and an 81 in the bridge position. This classic pickup combination has been used by countless players over the years, including Zakk Wylde and Kerry King. At Sweetwater, we find that these pickups scream out hot tones perfectly suited for metal, hard rock, and any other high-gain application.

Supreme playability

Jackson builds the American Series Soloist around a neck-through design for rock-solid stability onstage and in the studio. The neck is carved into the brand’s signature Speed Neck profile. Jackson’s Speed Neck is almost universally beloved among high-octane players. This legendary neck profile has been around for decades. It’s engineered to encourage lightning-fast playability in every position. Whether you’re playing soaring leads or ripping off riffs, the American Series Soloist’s Speed Neck makes it easier than ever.

  • Alder body provides a lightweight and balanced tone
  • 12–16-inch compound radius ebony fingerboard feels great under your fingers
  • Maple neck and Speed Neck profile supply effortless playability
  • Active EMG 81 and 85 pickups deliver high-octane tone

Reviews

Best feeling guitar I have EVER played.
If this falls in your budget, buy one immediately. The neck feels amazing in hand and is blazing fast, and the pickups absolutely scream harmonics/high end and chug HARD. I have zero complaints about this instrument, it is an absolute workhorse!
