BASSIST DREAM INSTRUMENT
Over the last 56 year's as a musician, I've owned numerous basses ranging from $300 to $3,000. This is my second Schecter Stileto and I find it to be as fine an instrument as I've ever played. The neck is very fast (narrow) and it's sound, unbelievable! Sweetwater set this one up for me befor shipping it out. A superb job and another thrilled customer

Schector Stilleto Extrene 5 bass
This bass guitar really shines and plays as good as my Musicman and fender bass guitars which cost 4 times as much as this one. This play's very smooth after doing a setup the way I like them. I am so impressed with this bass stopped by a local music store tried a few more schectors and I am going to change to schector bass guitars after this purchase. Thanks again Nick Graham!
Schecter Stiletto Extreme 5 String Bass Guitar

This IS beyond a doubt the Best Looking bass guitar I have ever owed. Schecter makes excellent quality guitars and you get a lot of guitar for a fairly modest price. You're not paying an additional $ for the Big Name "Gold Standard" guitar. This one will rattle the rafters and set off car alarms if you have enough amplification. And it has a lovely Growl at fair volume levels and the tone is simply outstanding. After searching guitars for several months, I decided I simply had to have this one. The Black Cherry finish and the big chevron inlays on the fretboard are simply gorgeous. I had to do some set up adjustments - typical for brand new out of the box guitars. The usual neck tweaking, string height, and intonation corrections makes this bass a joy to play as the neck is fast and comfortable... Even to 1:00 AM Gigs. You get a lot of fine quality guitar from Schecter, and a Good Looking one too.

Just what I was looking for
So I've had my 5 string for a few weeks and here are my thoughts. First, it's freakin' GORGEOUS! I got the lightest dark cherry there was, and yes, it looks fabulous. It's lighter in weight than my Sire and PRS four string bases too, which was surprising to me. Of course the fret board is wider, but the strings are actually a little closer together than on my 4 strings. Not crazy close, but noticeable. Workmanship seems very good, with no obvious "what were they thinking here?" issues. It was playable upon delivery, with only minor tuning needed. Intonation was set up correctly. The neck is very comfortable to play, although there is a little more stretch because it's a five. You get used to it quickly.
Things to note: The battery cover is a screw on operation, and it actually snaps into place, so even after you have the screws out you have to gently pry it out to change the battery. That's a disaster if it happens during a gig 'cause it'll take 10 minutes if you don't want scratches on your axe. There's no "Off" switch either, so you need to remember to unplug the cord from the guitar to not run down the battery when you put it away. And, because it's a five, the neck weighs more, so there's a little neck dive going on. Not an annoying amount, but it's there. Knowing all that, I'd buy this again in a second. It's a great guitar as delivered, and a good platform for upgrades as well. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up on this one! And as always, props to my sales engineer, Zac Coleman, for another job well done!
New bass for this old man.
After not playing for 12 years, one of my old bands wanted to do a job. It was actually a job for a saddle club We played country at our bands last job 18 years ago for that dance. We did it last year. They wanted us back this year. I played classic rock for a few years with my old Peaveys. This Bass is amazing. After leaving it in the box for 24 hrs. I took it out ,tuned it and took off. It is smooth, fast and easy to play.
