High-performance ATC 3-way Monitor for Wall or Ceiling Mounting
A high-performance passive 3-way studio monitor designed for wall or ceiling mounting, the ATC SSM25i Pro incorporates premium ATC drivers in a sealed-box cabinet with a shallow depth of 7.81 inches and a weight of only 62.2 pounds. Equipped with a safety tether for secure installation, the steel-reinforced cabinet pairs with purpose-built articulating mounting hardware to facilitate optimized positioning for unerring monitoring accuracy and broad, even dispersion in larger control rooms where increased dynamic range and bandwidth are required. The SSM25i Pro boasts ATC’s industry-acclaimed audio quality through advanced engineering and premium proprietary components.

Proprietary drivers with hand-wound voice coils
Great-sounding monitors start with great-sounding drivers. The SSM25i Pro’s drivers are designed and manufactured to stringent tolerances at ATC’s in-house facility, where hand-wound voice coils are made from flat oxygen-free copper wire and operate in a precision long magnetic gap. Specially designed magnet vents not only reduce air flow noise and heat, but also increase power handling and reliability. ATC’s proprietary drivers are engineered to perform at exacting professional standards and deliver smooth, even frequency response without built-in EQ. In the SSM25i Pro, the custom drivers have been painstakingly integrated into an acoustic suspension (sealed) cabinet to deliver consistent low-frequency performance in surface-mount installations. Crossover frequencies were carefully selected at 380Hz and 3.5kHz to optimize the 3-way system for coherent response across its 47Hz–25kHz range.

Ideal for immersive monitoring systems
Thanks to its flexible installation options, the ATC SSM25i Pro is an ideal choice for multichannel as well as side- and rear-surround and height speakers in immersive-format monitoring systems, such as Dolby Atmos, particularly in control rooms where real estate is at a premium, but reference-grade performance is mission-critical. The SSM25i Pro may be mounted in either vertical or horizontal orientations, and the mounting hardware permits the cabinet to pivot away from wall or ceiling surfaces to direct the output toward the listening position for optimal imaging. The SSM25i Pro is ideally mated to ATC’s R4-150 Pro 4-channel power amplifier (available separately), which has been specifically designed to power the company’s SSM series mountable passive loudspeakers.
The perfect power partner
To ensure the SSM25i Pro functions at its full potential, ATC developed the R4-150 Pro, a 4-channel power amplifier with Class AB MOSFET output stages and 150 watts per channel. Sharing technology with ATC’s highly respected P1 Pro dual-mono power amp — including four beefy toroidal transformers — the R4-150 Pro is housed in a suitably robust 5U chassis with silent, fanless convection cooling that allows for quiet operation in any suitable location. Today’s immersive mixes place tremendous demands on a monitoring system in terms of dynamic range, and the ATC R4-150 Pro pairs synergistically with the SSM25i Pro to accurately reproduce such program material with composure. The amp features ultra-high CMRR (Common-Mode Rejection Ratio) balanced XLR inputs and Neutrik NL4 output connectors. Lastly, the unit offers DC offset thermal protection and remote power on/off trigger inputs that allow for flexible installation.

A legacy of monitoring accuracy
A young engineer named Billy Woodman spent his formative years working alongside some of the best speaker engineers of the day. In 1974, Woodman founded ATC (Acoustic Transducer Company). Since then, ATC has focused on one thing: creating the most accurate monitor loudspeakers possible. If you want to make great-sounding recordings that translate to the world outside your studio, accurate monitoring is a must. You need to hear every nuance of your audio, exactly as it was recorded and mixed. ATC monitoring equipment, expertly engineered with the highest-grade components, is designed to provide just that. How good are ATC monitors? Just ask renowned producers and engineers like George Massenburg, Chuck Ainlay, Nathaniel Kunkel, and Doug Sax. You’ll also find ATC monitors in Abbey Road Studios, Sony Studios New York, Blackbird Studios Nashville, and many more world-class facilities. Sweetwater is proud to offer you ATC’s extensive range of professional studio monitors.
