It feels really good for what it is. Sounds good with the both the snare engaged and not. It fits snugly on the snare drums we have here and allows me to practice rudiments right at the kit pretty quietly.

Same as for the 12". It does what it's supposed to do. On the floor tom it raises the pitch but that's OK, it's for practice. And it stays firmly in place. I could not be more pleased. It sounds and feels like a drum. The one on the snare is excellent with the snares engaged or disengaged. It stays put. I don't notice a change in pitch on the snare.

I need quiet drums for neighbor reasons as many of us know. I started with the Remo Silent strokes on my DW's which are for sure quiet but lacked any tone. I added Remo Muffs under the heads and this greatly increased sustain and I could tune to get a pretty decent tone. Tape on the heads of the Silent Strokes can do the same but not as neat. Covering some of the head surface on these increases volume and sustain. Toms and bass were all good but snare was not. I then tried a Black Hole on snare, better but a lack of sensitivity and one note sounding. I got the Super Pad and looked at it and thought this isn't going to work, big thick chunk of rubber. Well turns out it is amazing, very responsive. You can barely tap it and you get a nice snare sound. It has great dynamics from softest touch to full hit. Flams, buzz rolls, ghost notes all come through clear. It was a little quieter than my toms so I put a thin batter head on and that brought up the volume just right. I tried it on my 14" tom and thought it was too quiet and had no sustain so I will stick with the Silent Strokes for toms. Totally satisfied.

I love my Aquarian pad they do not have a ton of bounce so for me it better practice. Less bounce no pinky out doubles!
