A little story tells all you need to know
I did a test voice call with my wife switching between a few different mics. 2 nice Gaming Headset mics through Sonar (compressor/eq), Then a sm57 and a sm7b through a RodecasterPro II. My wife is a normie non audiophile. She had NO IDEA what she was listening to, nor did she care. She was a big Ol grump about the whole thing and was annoyed that I asked her to do this. So she just gave her honest opinion to me. Grump and all. I switched back and forth between all the mics multiple times. Starting with the worst of the bunch and slowly incorporating the better ones

She initially scored the gaming headsets quite High at 7 and an 8. She said they both sounded really good. One was a but more "tinny" than the other but both sounded pretty good. Definitely good enough for voice calls or video conferences. After hearing the sm57 she said it sounded much nicer than the others. The 57 was a 9 and the other 2 had lost 1 point each. so 6,7 and 9 respectively. The sm7b completely reordered her thinking. The sm7b was a 10, the 57 had become the 7, and the gaming headsets were now a 4 and a 5. By comparison, she said they kinda sounded like crap now. To her, he sm7b sounded like "the gold standard" Perhaps an even BETTER mic would have brought the sm7b down to a 9 or less but a better mic i do not own so.......take it for what it's worth

I realize this test is anecdotal a normal person was able to CLEARLY identify the sm7b as the best of the bunch
I love it
I was between this mic and the SD-1 but the main reason I have chosen this one was because I want a profesional look with the companies I'll work in the future, and also it gives me the quality most people is used to due to it's
