A Professional and Flexible 4-channel Power Amplifier!

The ART SLA-4 is a 400W studio linear power amplifier that delivers the clean power necessary for any professional audio or commercial sound environment. A 4-channel, single rack-space amplifier, the ART SLA-4 can easily be switched between multi-channel, stereo, and bridged mono modes. Sweetwater users use the separate mode switches to bridge channels one and two, three and four, or both channel pairs for the ultimate in flexibility. A SmartFan cooling system, high-quality decoupling system, and included tamper-proof cover round out the professional ART SLA-4.

Designed for long-term reliability

The SLA-4's output is fully protected from short circuits for the ultimate in reliability. An ultrasonic network decouples RF from the output and helps keep the amplifier stable with reactive loads. The SLA-4 is stable into loads as low as 4 ohms (bridged mode), making it ideal for virtually any installation application or complex system configuration.

Advanced SmartFan cooling system

The ART SLA-4 features SmartFan, an advanced, thermal dependent fan assisted convection cooled system. The SmartFan system is dependent upon the internal ambient temperature of the unit, and runs at high or low levels depending on the amplifier's cooling needs.

Easily ties into any system

1/4-inch TRS and Euroblock balanced inputs as well as multi-way output binding posts ensure the ART SLA-4 can be quickly and easily tied in to any system without modification.

ART SLA-4 Features:

  • 4-channel, 400W power amplifier with extremely low noise and a discrete linear design

Reviews

No BS
Very simple and easy to use. No noise or excessive heat. The one thing I would change is the layout of the posts on the rear panel. They are a bit cramped, but it's hard to complain since it all fits in one rack slot.

You get a lot in one rack space
I have been using an ART SLA-1 power amplifier in my rack based live performance sound system for about three years, because size and weight are critical factors in all my equipment choices and the power output is more than sufficient for any venue where I sing. When I determined that I really needed to have a separate channel for my stage monitors, I chose the SLA-4 based on my extreme satisfaction with the SLA-1. So far, I have only used it for two performances, but the operation and performance are identical the SLA-1, but with the addition of two more channels. Hey, i could add a subwoofer! The toroidal transformers produce great power with significant weight savings from conventional transformers. The cooling fan is slightly louder than the fan on the SLA-1, but then it is cooling four channels instead of two. It is not annoyingly loud, or even really noticeable except by the operator, and then only when the room is otherwise silent. I highly recommend this amplifier, especially for a traveling sound system when size and weight are considerations.

art sla4 - awesome
I love this amplifier. Its small, robust and quiet. The cooling fanmakes virtually no noise even in my studio in dead silence, I can't hear it. Plent of power for monitors.

Nice clean amp
This amp is very clean for what I use it for.. It drives my home stereo and studio monitors. My high end floor speakers never sounded this good with the receiver amp. I'm thinking about getting another one for my Home theater system.. Thanks Sweetwater and ART for good products at a fair price.
