The korina body is paired with a carved maple top, ensuring flavorful treble with a snappy attack that energizes solos and riffs. Reverend’s luthiers made significant enhancements for today’s players, including an offset body shape for increased access to upper frets. You’ll instantly feel at home navigating an ebony fingerboard and the Roundhouse’s 24.75-inch scale length, which keeps strings pliable and responsive. Sonically, two Reverend Steelhead Humbuckers combine Alnico V and ceramic magnets for a powerful, articulate tone, complete with oversized pole pieces for consistent output. Lastly, a built-in treble bleed circuit and a Bass Contour control further expand the Roundhouse’s sonic range; you won’t lose important highs when rolling back levels, and the Bass Contour knob can easily coax out convincing single-coil tones in seconds. Reverend also uses high-grade korina (white limba) — coveted for its consistency and harmonic richness — for its guitar and bass bodies.
