Not the item's fault, this is user error: The plug was oriented opposite to what I needed for my application. In other words, the 5 pins are closer to the inside of the 'L' rather than the outside. Note: If you are planning to use the midi port atop a Behringer Neutron, the angled plug will point across the top of the device (ie, get in the way of the knobs) instead of facing horizontally behind the device.
