A Competent High-gain Machine Under Ibanez’s Axion Label
Featuring Fishman Fluence Modern humbucking pickups, the Ibanez Axion Label RGD61 combines epic tone with eminent playability, making it popular with Sweetwater's metal guitarists. Delivering a huge range of aggressive sounds, the Fluence Modern humbuckers mean the RGD61 can handle the highest gain without tonal sacrifice, using a push-pull voicing switch on the Volume control for even more control. Equipped with an Ibanez Mono-rail hardtail bridge, the RGD61 is immensely stable with miles of sustain and expressive articulation. Complete with Gotoh locking tuners for impressive tuning stability, the Ibanez Axion Label RGD61 is a gig-ready guitar that's sure to impress.
Fishman Fluence Modern ceramic pickups provide two distinct voices
The RGD61 is equipped with two Fishman Fluence Modern humbucking pickups, each providing you with two unique voices. The first voice is reminiscent of a modern active pickup; plug into your amp and treat yourself to that familiar modern tone with tight bass, crisp highs, and a touch of growl. The second voice is a high-output humbucker tone made for distortion. You can access each pickup's selectable voices via the push-pull Volume knob and 3-way switch.

Fixed bridge stability for rock-solid tuning
The Ibanez Axion Label RGD61 sports a fixed Mono-rail bridge, giving you the peace of mind that comes from rock-solid tuning stability. From standard to lowered tunings, your guitar's pitch will remain stable, and the string tension will feel consistent. Changing tunings during a gig goes much faster compared to dealing with a vibrato bridge and locking nuts. Plus, you’ll enjoy increased sustain and a fatter overall tone due to the way the Mono-rail bridge transfers the string's energy directly to the guitar's body.
Your fingers will fly on this super-fast Wizard III neck
One of Ibanez's fastest necks to date, the Wizard III neck on the Ibanez Axion Label RGD61 is an absolute pleasure to play. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you pull off lightning-fast runs and arpeggios with ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for fretting chords. From the first time you wrap your hand around the Wizard III neck, you'll know you've got a guitar that was built with performance in mind.
