A Guitar Guaranteed to Elevate Your Playing

If you want to elevate your playing, the Ibanez Axion Label RG631ALF is the perfect solidbody electric guitar for the job. The RG631ALF's carved nyatoh body feels thin and comfortable — it's an undeniable high-performance conduit for swift, agile playing. Constructed from alternating plies of panga panga and walnut, this guitar's 5-piece neck has an incredibly thin profile, with a flat fingerboard that your fingers will glide over with ease. Beyond that, the RG631ALF sounds as incredible as it plays, thanks to its multi-voice Fluence Modern humbucking pickups. The Axion Label RG631ALF is completed by a luminescent logo and side dot inlays that really stand out on dark stages.

Fluence Modern pickups provide two distinct voices

The RG631ALF comes loaded with a set of Fluence Modern pickups: a high-octane ceramic humbucker in the bridge and an aggressive-sounding alnico humbucker in the neck. These revolutionary active pickups provide you with a choice of two unique, selectable voices. The first voice is reminiscent of a modern active pickup. Plug into your amp and treat yourself to a familiar, built-for-shred sound with tight bass, crisp highs, and a touch of growl. The second voice is a high-output humbucker tone that's tailor-made for distortion. Both voices deliver aggressive tone and a powerful attack with a minimum of excess noise — even with piles of gain.

Your fingers will fly on this super-fast Nitro Wizard neck

One of Ibanez's fastest necks to date, the Nitro Wizard neck on the Ibanez Axion Label RG631ALF is an absolute pleasure to play. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you pull off lightning-fast runs and arpeggios with ease, but still gives you the substance you need for fretting chords. From the first time you wrap your hand around the Nitro Wizard neck, you'll know you've got a guitar that was built with performance in mind.

Gibraltar hardtail delivers rock-solid tuning stability

Do you love the feel of a tremolo bridge but prefer the tuning stability of a hardtail? You're not alone. Many players around Sweetwater gravitate to the Axion Label RG631ALF for this exact reason. This axe is outfitted with a low-profile Gibraltar Standard II hardtail bridge. It offers the feel and comfort of a traditional RG-style floating trem with the added benefit of tuning stability and extra punch you only get from a fixed bridge. If you're the kind of player who prefers a hardtail bridge, the Ibanez RG631ALF is the axe for you.

Ibanez Axion Label RG631ALF Features:

  • Carved nyatoh body provides hours of comfortable playing time
  • 5-piece panga panga/walnut Nitro Wizard neck is fast and very comfortable
  • Fishman Fluence Modern pickups produce a wide range of savage high-gain tones
  • Luminescent side markers help you stay in position on the darkest stages
  • Gotoh MG-T locking tuners make changing strings a breeze
  • Gibraltar Standard II hardtail bridge has a low-profile feel with rock-solid stability
  • Jumbo Sub Zero treated frets are more resistant to wear and tear
  • Includes Schaller S-Locks strap lock pins

First Ibanez

For years I was a fender strat only kinda guy. The music I've grown into required a quicker neck, more frets and heavier sounding pickups. Being in a band that has to down tune from standard halfway through our set, I wanted a guitar that can quickly change the tuning and still fit my needs. This guitar fits all of it and made me a huge fan of Ibanez guitars. The wizard neck has seriously improved my playing and allowed me to branch into playing new genres. The pickups can be so clean, play like a strat by turning off the noise cancelling or you can play heavy metal by switching the noise cancelling on and by pressing the volume switch into the added gain. Unbelievable amount of sustain. The green chameleon is gorgeous in person. The only thing this guitar is missing is the tremolo, but that's okay, I'll just buy another Ibanez. I will end with I haven't touched my beloved fender strat that plays like a vintage 60s model since I received this Ibanez guitar 6 months ago.

There is such a thing as a metal guitar my friends and this is it ! The pics don't do it justice. Beautiful piece of work.
Plays great, trouble free and massive tone.

Don't sleep on this Ibanez

I ordered this guitar without being able to try it in person due to not being close to any music stores nearby and also due to the pandemic. I'm so glad I went for it and bought this guitar. Here's why.

First and probably the most important thing. The neck. The neck radius is very flat and yet extremely comfortable. The fret access is easily accessible and the bolt joint is rounded and smooth instead of a bulky classic square shape.

The frets themselves were smooth and the action was set up perfectly. I had this guitar tuned and set up with Ernie Ball 11's in C standard. It was intonated perfectly.

Tonewise, I personally enjoy the fishman fluence pickups and I also like the versatility in switching between active and passive voicings. They are battery operated pickups and yet they do not sound like EMG's or a typical active pickup. These pickups sound much more dynamic and have clarity. They are very articulate. They're perfect for metal, hard rock, even blues and jazz if you roll your volume down. They clean up very nicely and sound very resonant and full.

I have this running through a small amp set up with a Joyo zombie head, a randall 100w cabinet and a Seymour Duncan 808 overdrive pedal. I can't put this thing down.

I can't put it down because the chameleon finish is even more stunning in person. Videos and photos don't do it justice. The base color is like a green-teal color and changes from purple to blue-ish gray depending on where the light hits it. The glow in the dark inlays and logo are a cool touch too.

Now, my only minor critique to this guitar is a minor thing but it's something that you see with most guitars and that is the placement of the volume and tone knobs.

Every time I pick, my hand will sometimes get in the way of the volume knob. I wish more guitar companies took note of the Schecter KM7 models and moved that volume knob further away. To me, this would be much more ideal not having to worry about my hand getting in the way, plus I don't really utilize volume swells in my playing anyways. Also the nut is a plastic nut that will end up being replaced at some point but it isn't a deal breaker and idk if I can really hear a huge difference anyways because this guitar sounds huge.
Music background: Making my gf cry because I don't play country
