Everything you need in one device

At Sweetwater, we want to make sure that your gig sounds the way you want it to. That's why we're excited to tell you more about what the Mackie ProFX16v3 can really do. Improved digital effects

To make sure that you sound perfect, the Mackie ProFX16v3 has an onboard effects processor. The effects processor has a blend function, FX level control, and a quick mute switch. The GigFX effects engine offers up 24 different effects ranging from delays, reverbs, choruses, distortion, and even an auto-wah feature. All of these effects are accessed by a simple twist of the Presets knob.

Reviews

Mackie ProFX16v3 Mixer
I needed a small, lightweight mixer I could travel with. After reviewing and speaking with my sales engineer this seemed to fit my needs. I received the product as described in just a few days and used it a few days later at a gig with my band and it performed remarkably well!!! Easy to setup and great sounding effects!!!

Loving This Mackie Mixer!
The Mackie ProFX16v3 addressed all my needs (and I can be pretty needy - Just ask Andy, my Sales Engineer). It's a wonderful device that, after much trial and error with a different brand that couldn't get me where I wanted to be, finally got the job done and has come through like a champ. Specifically, it allows me to monitor during recording and playback in three different ways, with separate volume controls for each of the three: 1) Headphones, 2) Control Room Studio Monitors, 3) House sound in my basement studio/jam-space. Beyond that, it sounds great, is easy to use, and finally got me to zero system noise with my set-up for the first time EVER! (Others came close, but this Mackie took me across the finish line). Many thanks to Andy Rice, my Sales Engineer, as well as to Jeff Milner and Mark Gegner in Tech Support for their help, patience, and persistence in making me a VERY satisfied Sweetwater customer! p.s. The high-quality/low-cost Mackie ER5-X studio monitors and Shure SRH240A headphones really rounded out the system, and the new Kurzweil PC4 is amazing. Go Sweetwater!

Mackie is a brand with a great reputation as well.
We needed a good quality utility mixer that we could move easily from room to room , something that we could move, connect mics and speakers and get the mix needed on the fly!
After our 20+ years Mackie utility mixer gave up on us we were happy to have a needed upgrade.
Great sound , acceptable effects, is exactly what we needed!
THANKS AGAIN SWEETWATER!!!

Close to ideal
I'm a Mackie guy and spend many years with my trusty 1604 VLZ Pro. I have to run sound from stage and wanted something simpler with recording capabilities, so I opted for a PreSonus AR16 USB several years ago. It's been a great mixer but we found ourselves needing an additional aux send/monitor mix. When doing research, I was surprised at how many of the more expensive offerings still had only two aux sends. I opted for the Mackie ProFX16v3 and my only real decision was whether to go with the larger ProFX22v3. We can get by with 11 XLR channels and I hope I don't regret that part of the purchase but went ahead with it. The mixer sounds great with having the Onyx preamps and the signal routing is WAY easier than on the 1604. It's like what a video reviewer said though, you have to assign each channel SOMEWHERE with the buttons near the channel faders but it's easier than it sounds. I wanted built-in effects to give a few channels some reverb but still use the channel inserts for one outboard delay. same with the built-in compressor - it's a great feature but I'm still running the kick drum out to its own via insert (thank you for having those available on 8 of the channels!). For the price-point, I highly recommend this model. Just make sure you get enough XLR input channels. I'm not sure why they didn't stick with the standard 12 and 16 etc. That's my only small gripe.
