Reissue of a classic!

The MXR Phase 90 is one of the most famous phase shifters ever created and found its way into the rigs of countless guitar legends over the last four decades. Aside from its classic orange casing, the Phase 90 is instantly recognizable thanks to the unmistakable script logo. The '74 Vintage Phase 90 is a re-creation of a Phase 90 purchased in 1974 by Dunlop Senior Engineer Bob Cedro and constructed from a hand-wired board and hand-matched FETs to match the tone of the original. Get classic tone from the '74 Vintage Phase 90. Note: 9V battery operation only. No input for external power supply.

MXR '74 Vintage Phase 90 Features:
  • Hand wired
  • Select resistors paired with hand-matched FETs
  • Recreated from a vintage '74 Phase 90
  • Adorned with script logo
  • Simple one-knob operation
MXR's '74 Vintage Phase 90 is loaded with classic tone!

Pick up a soldering iron
Lots of people pointing out that 9v batteries are a pain and there's no LED. LED? If you can't tell that it's on by the sound then why even have the pedal?
Also, I bought a female barrel input, drilled a hole where the battery should go, cut the 9v connector tab off and soldered the wires to the input jack. Presto. Took less than 10 minutes. Now it's powered by my boss tuner like most everything on the pedal board.
The absolute best tone!
This pedal is just awesome! The best phaser tone I've ever gotten. Yeah, it's inconvenient not having a 9v input and having to use a battery only. And, it's not dead quiet like some newer pedals might be. And, I'm sure the new script logo model with the 9v input option is real close to the same tone and for less $s. But the tone this pedal makes is worth it and it's very easy to use. My favorite pedal. I would definitely buy again.
74 script phase 90
This mxr version of the phase 90 is so good , tone, simplicity and versatile .
Classic!
Does the phase 90 thing very well! Great build quality. Blind bought it and don't regret it! Worth having in your arsenal of pedals. Warm and sweet!
THE Phaser!
These are great! That classic 70's phase shifter sound. They sound as good as a vintage one at a price a musician can afford. This was a great addition to my pedal board. Don't worry that there is no 9v adaptor jack. Just use a power cable with the 9v battery snap. Leave the bottom plate off. And fasten velcro to the bottom with the bottom plate screws. I've done it for years with vintage pedals. And now that I can't afford vintage pedals, the MXR 1974 Phase 90 is perfect! If you need a phaser, this is the one to buy!
