High-quality Cable with a Built-in Latching Mute Switch

Guitarists, we're sure you're familiar with that nasty pop sound your amplifiers and speakers make when you unplug an active cable from your guitar. Not a good sound! But the Planet Waves Latching Circuit Breaker guitar cables put a built-in mute switch at your fingertips, letting you instantly, and silently, break the connection. Once the cable connection is broken, you can remove the cable and insert it into a different guitar without creating any unwanted sound through your rig. When you're ready to play, just press the Planet Waves Circuit Breaker Cable's mute button, and you're ready to go.

Planet Waves Latching Circuit Breaker Guitar Cable Features:

  • Length: 10'
  • Straight connectors
  • Built-in latching mute switch

Love These Cables!!!!
D'Addario circuit breaker cables are my go to cables I been using these cables for years hit the red switch and disconnect the power from the amp
Music background: Bassist
Sweet little cable!
This handy cable with the little kill switch right there at the plug suits my needs really well while performing. I play a large body Gibson steel string acoustic but sometimes like to switch over to my classical guitar for certain songs. The kill button is great, it's right there at the end of the guitar, just push in the button and instantly deaden all sound coming from your instrument. Switch instruments (have a similar cable on the classical guitar) push the button in and you're ready to go. If you're storing instruments on a stand while not in use, having the kill switch activated keeps them from picking up any unwanted ambient noise and amplifying it. These cables are super-cool!

Nice cable
Very nice and functional cable. Great for gigs as it allows plugging in while amp is hot. All good. My other cable is a mogami with the neutrik plug. This one works just as well and was half the price!!
Enjoy These With One Caveat
These are great for avoiding the pops or shutting down to remove a cable. On a couple of my guitars, the cable pin size is too small and the cable comes loose while in use. I measured the D'Addario's pins at .248 (a bit less, even) and my other various brand cables were .2495 to .250. Apparently, this is enough of a spec variation to cause the behavior (maybe some head shape difference?). The two guitars that misbehave have me using other cables without an issue. Both guitars are quite new and hold my other cables very securely which is what got the calipers out to troubleshoot.
Good cable, but set up gives concern
I like the idea of this. I also like D'Addario cables -- I use a ton of their custom patch cables without issue. When this came it did not work. I was stuck, should I pull the ends and test them or just ask for refund? I tightened the screws (hoping I could still return it) and now the cable seems to be working. But both ends were lose. It was a 10 sec fix and cost me nothing, but now I am just a little worried about this cable. It was just a bad first impression of a vital part of my rig. Concerns me that it was not tested before it left the factory.
