Beautiful, comfortable and sweet like apple pie
I have owned this guitar for 6 months and it didn't take long to become my favorite guitar in my collection. The thinner neck profile is exactly what I needed to push me outside my comfort zone and start playing those faster progressions more accurately. The cut away body makes for a very comfortable fit that doesn't slide off my lap while playing like most guitars tend to do. The 5 way pickup switch has 2 coil tapping options and it makes this guitar very versatile, I play many genres of music including country and I prefer the shadowcaster over my American made Telecaster. Overall build quality of the guitar I give it a 9.5/10 right out of the box. No tuning issues and the intonation has been spot on since day one. Lastly, this guitar is beautiful! I have gotten so many compliments from people about the look of the Shadowcaster. Very Impressed with the quality and sound of this guitar! Well done by Rob and the Jackson team

Fantastic guitar, just has one annoying problem
I love pretty much everything about this guitar. The look of the guitar is so unique, I love the name of it, even the purple color is a great shade. I wanted a good quality fixed bridge passive pickup guitar for rock/punk styles, and I can get the tone I want out of this guitar. I did do some of the upgrades (bone nut, plek and did the pro setup) so mine might be a bit different from yours. I really love the Jackson compound radius with jumbo frets... my other favorite guitar is also similar neck-wise but with Blackout pickups, floyd rose trem (RRX24 flying V). The primary difference between these two guitars for me (besides the obvious tonal difference) is the ability to stay in tune. Why Jackson would put such crappy machine heads on a $ guitar I have no idea. Eventually I think I will need to replace them, and I would've rather paid the extra 20-30 bucks for better tuners up-front rather than need to replace them and possibly screw up my pro setup. So... I highly recommend the guitar, only knocking off 1/2 star for the tuners since in the long run it's not the most important thing... and if you can get Sweetwater to put some better machine heads on there for you before shipping it out to you, do that.
