Great upgrade for my TD-1K
The perfect snare upgrade for my TD-1K. This gives me the same response as the snare pad that comes with the TD-1K without me having to worry that I'll tear the mesh head (beginner player), but still allows me to take advantage of the dual zone snare capability of the TD-1K controller, and at a much lower price than the mesh head upgrade. Very happy with this purchase!
The best for V-6 drums
I have bought several versions of the mesh drum pads but have found that these rubber pads have a much better response for two totally different sounds from the center to the edge for the V-6 drum module. Easy to program for a personal sound combining select sounds from different factory drum kits to build your own.

That's the ticket!
I had always wanted to add a fourth tom to my Roland TD-6V drum kit. It wasn't quite as easy as I hoped, because I couldn't just "Plug and Play." ;) ...but after reading my drum kit's manual closely, I managed to find the procedure for setting up the new pad.

In other words, it pays to read the fine print! :D

Kudos also to my Sales Engineer Matt Emick, who contacted his Roland rep to make sure I could "make the connection!"

Great supplemental pad for a TD-30.
I needed a pad for a ride cymbal for my TD-30. I was hoping I could use the edge trigger for the bell but it does not trigger with the same sensitivity thus just the 4 rating. I use this pad for my ride cymbal and mounted on the same rod I put a BT-1 for the bell. That works well.
Roland PD-8 V-Pad
Its Roland so I wasn't supprised on how great it is and the quality but to say that it blows me away well it did not do that. Im sure the more expensive ones would blow me away. I plan on buying at least 3 more of these pads.
Music background: Drumming for 10 years in local bands but now im a Dad so im drumming just for me :)

Simply put, modern electronic music wouldn't exist without Roland. Many of the electronic musicians here at Sweetwater cut our teeth on TR Rhythm machines and fondly remember programming our first TB-303s. We owe a good part of our careers to this amazing and innovative company. It's been fun to watch and grow right alongside Roland, as they've introduced wave after wave of revolutionary keyboards, digital pianos, and more. For example, Roland's V-Drum Kits continuously redefine the possibilities of electronic drums, beginning with SuperNATURAL technology to the latest Prismatic Sound Modeling. We're huge fans, and we'd love to tell you all about them. Whether you want a pocket-sized synth or a cutting-edge video mixer, if Roland makes it, then Sweetwater is 100% behind it.
