With the Yamaha PAC612VIIFMX Pacifica, you're getting an amazing instrument with stellar tone, feel, and appointments. This no-nonsense solidbody electric guitar has a lightweight alder body with a laminated flamed maple top, finished in gorgeous gloss polyurethane. The beautifully smooth maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is immediately playable and comfortable — whether you're playing lead or rhythm.

Built for tone

The Yamaha PAC612VIIFMX Pacifica features a Seymour Duncan Custom TB-14 humbucker in the bridge position, which delivers powerful tones fit for riffing and soloing alike. The 5-position blade, master volume, and master tone with push-pull control lets you split the humbucker and dial in all kinds of tonal colorings to fit your style and exploration in sound. Finally, a Wilkinson VS50 bridge provides stellar tonal support, as well as a tremolo arm for more creative exploration in style.

Reviews

Very nice guitars
I came across the Yamaha Pacifica line while researching Fender Stratocasters a few years ago.Several reviews brought them up as a very comparable instrument that seems to fly under the radar.I prefer strat style guitars without painted necks and have several other brands such as LTD, Jackson, and Ibanez but wanted a more 'classic' type strat. This is one really well made guitar that sounds and plays great. I can't find a flaw on it. As usual, Sweetwater made the purchase simple and delivered it quickly and ready to play.
Excellent guitar for an excellent price
I had to wait 5 1/2 months for this order to come in (thanks COVID supply chain!), but Zac from SW kept me informed and I got the original price. The guitar is lovely, with great tones, and very well put together. Not my first Pacifica; they are always very well made, consistent from guitar to guitar, and play like and have the features of a much more expensive guitar.

A note about the frets: The ends of mine are nice, although not exceptional. I did have the guitar Plekked by SW, to make it as perfect as possible, but they are still not up to the level of my Shijie, which is custom-shop quality. But still very playable.

Love that SW shows pics of each copy of a guitar (although mine arrived Oct 10th, and here we are just under a month later and all the 612s are sold out again!), so you can pick the finish and weight you like (note, if they have a bunch, they will only put up a few, and replace them as they sell). I was able to pick the lightest copy they had in stock (1 lb lighter than the heaviest) and also one with a nice flame maple top (they are not all equally beautiful).

Actually the first guitar I've ever purchased from Sweetwater, and very happy with the experience.
Tremendous Super Strat
I purchased this because it had a nice tremolo on it that I can handle, but I was extremely surprised on how bright and punchy the Seymour Duncan pickups are. This is a winner without a doubt , in the category of a super strat . The pickups make the difference , and it's a quality build guitar
Excellent, build quality and sound
This Guitar is amazing. The looks, the sound, set up, playability. With the two single coils and a hum-bucker it can sound like anything you want. This guitar can easily be played at the professional level and stand up with the best of them. Sounds excellent. You won't be disappointed.
Seeetwater's service was excellent as well. The guitar was on back order when I bought it. But they stayed with me from when it came in, to getting loaded onto the truck and on the way to my house. Calling me every few days with an update.
Awesome guitar!
I love this guitar. Feels good, plays good, sounds great. The pickups, selector switch, and tone knob give a great range of tones. The tremolo arm inserts and removes quickly and easily. The locking tuners and bridge/body construction make changing strings fast and easy. This is an awesome guitar for the money.
