Best Bang For The Buck
The Yamaha PAC611HFM Pacifica is the best bang for the buck in a Strat. The quality of workmanship is flawless. The SOUND will blow you away. The neck feels like it was made for my hand. It showed up in perfect tune. I'm just a beginner so I checked out a ton of guitars and when I tried this one….that was it. I ordered the Amber Burst which they don't stock. It showed up 10 days later. The pics don't do it justice as it's absolutely beautiful. Sweetwater is so easy to do business with. A shout out to Charles Dent for all his help.

I have been playing Yamaha electrics since the 1980s, they just keep getting better. This model is incredible for the price...or any price. If it said Fender on the headstock for the same build and quality, it would be priced somewhere over $.

This is the best guitar on the market for the money. Period. $, solid body, Seymour Duncan pickups, including a P90 at the neck. rosewood fingerboard, locking tuners, 3 position switch, and a fixed bridge. To get a different guitar with these specs, you will spend $ minimum. the pickups are $ each after market. the locking tuners are $, that's $ right there. The tone is wonderful, and the playability is perfect. The only change is that it is better with 10s instead of 9s. Full disclosure... I am playing through a Tone King Gremlin head and 12 inch cab. So the amp is remarkable, but this guitar is better than anything else on the market in it's price range. In fact, I traded a PRS American made for this guitar and the tone king amp. I also play a Gibson Les Paul standard and a 2005 Fender American Deluxe Ash Strat, and have played everything over the years. Trust me... buy this guitar. The only thing it can't do is whammy bar, fixed bridge. anyway, enjoy!

Mixed Feelings ... Resolved
At first glance: a bit smaller than expected, but prettier than expected. At first play: feels great, sounds great. Hours later: I LOVE IT

It is unique. It is hard to describe the feeling it gives off. It is not like another clone of any other guitar I have used over the past decades. It is unassuming, but really packs a nearly perfect balance of all things you need to play a guitar of this type. The pickup combinations are interestingly delicious. The tuning end of fret board is skinny (I did not notice this before purchase ... 1.614"), but works out to be a better fit than I would have imagined. Feels light and nimble, as a Yamaha racing motorcycle, lol. Fit and finish is PERFECT for this price.

Very happy with this purchase.

Yamaha Pacifica 611 Hardtail
This is very unique guitar, with 3 different pickup variations. You have the P-90 single coil pickup, which is kind of in between a traditional single coil and a humbucker. Then there's the humbucker which has a coil splitter which gives it that single coil pickup sound, very strat like. The pickups are Seymour Duncan's. The fit and finish on the guitar is very good and it seems the guitars coming out of Indonesia these days are a big improvement from years ago. I like the fact that the saddles are String Savers and the tuners are Grovers locking,(really nicely designed tuners) with the the nut being synthetic. My only gripe on the guitar is the rosewood fret board could have used a little more sanding, not a major gripe and after a few hours playing the guitar it seems to be smoothing out nicely. The neck is closer to a 60's style, as far as thickness is concerned. I enjoy playing this guitar, right up there with my Gibsons, Fenders and my PRS. I recommend this guitar without any hesitation. As always, I received first rate customer service my sales engineer AJ, and also recommend Sweetwater, which is one of the best places to purchase gear on the internet.
