Value, Features, and Build Quality

Not being able to afford an American made Strat, I started researching low cost Strat copies. Ibanez, Indio, Cort, etc etc including Squire Affinity.

Also watched a bit of YouTube.

The unmistakable yet modern Strat body WITH coil splitting, and Yamaha's reputation across many models made this my choice.

Yahoo ! Love it !
Music background: Self taught and a ways to go to become a competent intermediate.

Excellent Guitar

The Yamaha Pacifica is an excellent guitar that offers great value for its price. Its versatile tonal range and comfortable playability make it suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The guitar's solid construction and high-quality components ensure that it will last for many years with proper care. Additionally, the guitar's sleek design and attractive finish make it a visually appealing instrument that is sure to turn heads. Overall, the Yamaha Pacifica is a great choice for both beginner and experienced guitarists who are looking for a reliable and versatile instrument.

Great Value, Great Guitar

A little about me. My first ever guitar was a Squirer Affinity Strat that I bought directly from Fender. It was very disappointing because the frets were poorly finished, and they cut up my hand. It also had intonation problems that I could not completely remedy. I got rid of it after just a few months. I currently play a Fender American Ultra Strat, which is everything the Affinity was not and significantly more. The point is that I know what a good Stratocaster style guitar should be.

I bought this guitar for my office. It replaces a Traveler guitar there. I was looking for something that would be more satisfying just to pick up and play informally when I am working late. I hear the Affinity line is better these days, but I decided to give this Yamaha a chance instead. For the money, the 112V is impressive. The build quality is great. The frets are just fine. The neck feels familiar in hand. The pickups sound better than I expected based on various on-line reviews. The hardware feels solid, especially the five-way switch. All the basic Strat elements are present. This is my first Fat Strat, and I'm just getting to know the HSS set-up (I have a Les Paul for humbucker sound). The two-knob control system takes a little getting used to, but it's perfectly fine for a practice guitar.

I am quite happy with this guitar for the money. The blue finish has a bit of a vintage feel and looks nice handing on the wall.

THE DEAL

Best guitar for the money in the price range.
I have owned 5 of these. I sold one and wished I
hadn't. Great guitar from beginning player to
a Pro. The playability is fantastic.

Great guitar!!

If you want to keep under 500 I recommend this one. Great tones, playability is on point and feels good. Great for larger hands Id recommend Azes for smaller hands or a younger person but this one is great. It feels just a bit bigger neck than strat. Sounds better than many more expensive instruments and can be used for gigs easily with no mods.I dont see any other guitar with these features at this price point. I wish I had something like this when I first started playing at this price point.
