Reviews

Best Strat
Wow! This thing amazes me! I've owned this for about 3 months now. I was shopping for my first electric after playing accoustic for 4 years. I was debating over a Squier Stratocaster and telecaster. Then a friend recommended this to me. Not having an electric before I didn't know what to expect but this blows me away! The classic looks of this, the sound, the pickups, strings, fretboards. I have played everything from Stevie Ray Vaughan to banana pancakes on the split humbucker. There is a reason it is so popular! Just buy this, better bang for the buck that a Squier!
Music background: 5 years of playing
Nice Guitar and excellent service
I wanted to pick up playing again, wanted a good sound and quality budget guitar to get started.I decided an a Squier Strat, but needed to get some guidance I spoke to Eric,a Sales Engineer and decided on the Yamaha Sales Engineer. I am very happy with it, and would recommend it to someone looking for budget strat guitar. Looks great and feels and sounds like a higher price guitar. Eric Sales Sales Engineer Engineer went above and beyond with his assistance and advise.
Outstanding budget guitar
As you'd expect at a budget price point, there's nothing "fancy" but the overall build quality is excellent. The fit and finish are great, the neck and frets are great, it sounds good and plays well.

Overall, a great budget guitar that's not just for beginners. This is a great guitar for anyone looking for a solid instrument on a budget.
Best S type value
After a set up and a change of strings, this guitar is a joy to play. The quality is first rate especially for the price. I love the look as well. And it's good to have a coil tap in the bridge in case you want to twang things up a little. A note that there is a noticeable volume drop when switching from Humbucker to single coils Still a great quality guitar.
Craftsmanship
This is a really well made instrument that has been given the attention to detail sometimes reserved for higher-tier instruments. No sharp fret edges or wavy finish on the body; it's a dead-flat mirror shine. The tuners are tight, no uneven edge between the fretboard and neck. The neck joint doesn't set more than 1/16th in. above the pickguard. The rosewood has a tight, dark grain, and the nickel plating is thick. The tremolo stays in tune immaculately.

TLDR: This is an intermediate level instrument in every respect that comes perfectly set up. I would recommend this as anyone's first guitar, or one to be upgraded with some nice pickups that would create an instrument worth $ for half price.
