Pain-free Personal Monitoring + Bluetooth Playback

Traditional wedge monitors can be a pain. The cables, the weight, the bleed — as a performer, sometimes it's just not worth the hassle. The Galaxy Audio Hot Spot Bluetooth powered monitor makes dependable stage monitoring a breeze, delivering clean, crisp audio straight to your ears over wireless Bluetooth. At just over 6 lbs., this full-range (80Hz–18kHz) speaker uses the latest amp technology to move 170 watts of vocals, keyboards, or guitar through its tiny, capable frame. Plug directly into the Galaxy Hot Spot Bluetooth and engage its onboard compressor/limiter and EQ, or stream audio over your phone. Independent levels balance your sources. An XLR Thru makes short work of daisy-chaining multiple Hot Spot Bluetooths together for a cleaner, lower-noise stage environment.

Mounts easily

With both an integrated mic stand mount and a molded yoke bracket, it's easy to direct sound from the Galaxy Audio Hot Spot Bluetooth monitor straight to your ears. This gives you the reliability of in-ears with the intimacy of traditional stage monitors. You also get better visibility onstage without large wedges to block your feet.

Lightweight portable power

The genius of the Hot Spot Bluetooth is its small footprint. This makes the PA6BT the perfect traveling companion for acoustic duos and smaller ensembles. Keyboard players and vocalists, in particular, will love how easy it is to position these this little monitor and dial it in to taste. For once, you may find yourself turning down when you've got the Galaxy Audio Hot Spot Bluetooth personal monitor from Sweetwater on your stage.

Reviews

Perfect for unique gigs
When we perform at a decent volume in an environment that supports that volume, floor monitors do the trick. But lately we have been playing inside small restaurants during dinner hour, and the rooms are ambient with clattering and chattering. But our volume has to be low and sometimes we can't hear the floor monitors because we can't turn them up enough so not to be too loud. In ear monitors don't cut it for us for various reasons. So, in comes these Galaxy Personal Monitors. We can now place our monitors right where we can hear them, on a stand in front of us. The volume can be controlled from the front. Ideal for these situations. At 7 lbs each, we eliminate heavy floor wedges. They sound fantastic and produce clear powerful volume. We daisy chain two for front vocals.

Galaxy Audio PA6BT - solid tech and great value
I had used the original passive hot spot back in the 70's when the pre-GalaxyAudio company of Superior Sound first developed them. Fifty years later I stated a five-piece band gigging in 2015. We each bought the powered PA6 monitors and used them at rehearsal and on stage. We immediately found them indispensable units that took up much less stage floor space and put the sound closer to our ears.

They are a unique compromise between sound tech controlled wedges and performer controlled in-ear monitors giving us each direct control over our own monitor volume and tone. They are very well made, light, and small but powerful. Used with multiple players and dual channel cabling, each unit can connect to the sound board so that channel 1 volume control is only for the users voice and channel 2 volume for all the other singers voices combined.

The mic input is also a great tool for personal practicing singing while playing an instrument. With the upgraded PA6BT product version with Blue Tooth lets the user play along with prerecorded music, a very useful added tool. The current PA6BT and it's PA6 predecessor are very versatile, durable, compact monitors at a very affordable price.

Perfect For Our Needs
This speaker is a perfect solution for our stage set up of a duo with acoustic instruments. It is light enough to carry with us and gives us what we need for a monitor. Works great!
Excellent Monitor
This is a monitor, not a 12" (or larger) full-range speaker meant to be used for FOH purposes. That said, a lot of the complaints I've read about this speaker are ridiculous. I suspect that some people want to be musicians/singers, but just don't know enough about how to use speakers, microphones, amps, instruments, etc. The Galaxy Audio PA6BT WILL do what it is designed to do, and do it exceptionally well. Plenty of power. Yes, it's a bit pricey - and I feel Galaxy could easily drop the price - but it is a great monitor.
This Monitor is Great!
I was looking to replace the Behringer B105D personal monitor our church keyboard player/worship leader was using; she needed more power. I was considering a Behringer Euroloive B205D, but Stephen at Sweetwater suggested the Galaxy Audio PA6BT. It cost more than I had planned on paying, but upon reading the specs (a two-way speaker, 170 watts. etc) I bought it. I've been involved with audio for almost 40 years, and this monitor really impressed me.

Keep in mind, THIS IS A MONITOR, not a FOH speaker with rumbling bass...you don't need bass like that from a monitor, you need to hear what your doing. That said, I set the hi-mid-bass levels set at the center (flat response). The fact this is a two-way speaker made a HUGE difference over the Behringer (which is a good monitor). The results were amazing. Our worship leader was very pleased.

Yes, this monitor is pricier than the Behringers, and many other monitors, but the results are, to me, worth the extra cost.
