Reviews

Versatile and Reliable
What I love about this pedal is the versatility and excellent response. With a dual pedal instead of 2 bass drums, you are normally limiting what you can do sound-wise because you're hitting the same drum, just faster. The adjustable positioning for the beaters and the two-surfaced beater heads permit you to get around that. With one beater closer or changing one beater head to the felt side, while leaving the other on the rubber, I get 2 distinct sounds when I want it (ala Ginger Baker, for example). I also play feet down most of the time, so this lets me adjust the position without changing the tension on the springs.
The single pedal by itself is also very responsive. I had no issue doing the 'John Bonham stutter' in Good Times, Bad Times, without having to mess with the spring tension, letting me play simpler kicks without worry over getting 'extra notes'.
Lastly, I've owned one of these for some 7 years before I bought this second one to leave with a different kit in a different place. The pedal I've had for 7 years is as good as if it were brand new. This will hold up over time for you.
Good Pedal....not a 'Longboard'
I bought this pedal mostly because it had the term "Longboard" in the description. I consider a "longboard" to be long enough to EASILY do heel work and slides with room to spare....like a Trick Drum Bigfoot. At the time, Sweetwater (and everybody else) were out of the Trick Drum Bigfoots and similar. So I bought it on site along with many other drum things and took several boxes of stuff (a car full) home...sight unseen..... a long drive. When I got home and opened it, I was disappointed to find it was at most about 10 inches long from the hinge to the toe chain.... and my heel rides over the hinge with not much leverage for the beater. When I saw the manual that comes with, there is a P-932/P-932L/931 listed. I assume the p-932L is a longboard but when I do that search it still turns up only the P-932 and yet calls it a longboard in the description. Now....having said that, this is no reflection on Sweetwater who are awesome, nor the Pearl pedal.... it is an awesome double pedal... infinity adjustable....and a great pedal for the money...and would be my choice amongst the regulars. But I think they should remove "longboard' from the description and I would give the pedal 5 stars.....but I would sure like to trade for a true longboard double.
