Add power and speed to your low end with the Demon Drive!

Pearl's P3002D Demon Drive double kick pedal is a favorite with drummers thanks to its unparalleled smoothness. Using Ninja bearings designed for skateboards, the Demon Drive's amazingly low friction, making this one of the fastest pedals around. You can tailor the feel of the Demon Drive to match your playing style. You can convert this pedal from a shortboard to a longboard via four screws under the footplate, letting you choose between finesse or power. To help you transport your kick pedal to and from gigs, the P3002D Demon Drive comes with a carry case.

Pearl P3002D Demon Drive at a Glance:
  • Pearl Hardware
  • Smooth feel
  • Choose finesse or power

Pearl Hardware
Pearl knows that your gear takes a lot of abuse — onstage, in the studio, or during jams. That's why they've built a range of hardware to meet every need — and to take that punishment, day after day, night after night. When it's stability you're calling for, you — and your gear — can depend on Pearl hardware.

Smooth feel
Play a Demon Drive and the first thing you'll notice is its unparalleled smoothness The Demon Drive gets its incredible smoothness and speed through the use of ultra-precise components. Self-aligning spherical bearings are used to insure the footboard and Direct Link Drive are always in perfect alignment, zero-latency Z-Link U-Joints on the double pedal driveshaft and special super high speed Ninja bearings on the axles all work in perfect sync to create the smoothest and fastest pedal on the planet. Designed for skateboarding these bearings feature micro-polished steel balls for amazing low friction.

Choose finesse or power
The most unique feature of the Demon Drive pedal is Pearl's exclusive Duo-Deck, the world's first convertible footboard. Through a simple adjustment, the Demon Drive pedal can be adjusted from a traditional shortboard to a longboard pedal in seconds, offering a slightly lighter, quicker feel that is the preferred setup when speed is a necessity. The rear position provides greater power. Loosen the key bolt and move to the front position for more finesse.

Additional features of this pedal include the world's first two-position Beater Stroke Adjustment and two-position Direct Link Adjustment. Both adjustable features allow the player to create a slightly lighter or heavier feel of the pedal depending on their preferred setting. Adjusting the Duo-Deck in combination with the Beater Holder and Direct Link Adjustments yields 8 possible Pedal Configurations, allowing the player to truly create their ideal pedal configuration.

Pearl P3002D Demon Drive Features:
  • Double kick pedal
  • Z-Link U-Joints on the double pedal driveshaft
  • Ninja skateboard bearings for ultrasmooth feel
  • Converts quickly from shortboard to long board for your choice of feel
  • 2 beater positions for a light or heavy feel
  • Fully adjustable Aluminum Traction Dots to vary the amount of slip or grip
  • Control Core Felt beater with anti-vibration elastomer core
  • Comes standard with a carry case
Custom-tailor your kick pedal to how you play with Pearl's P3002D Demon Drive!

Sick pedals!
This is my first set of direct drive pedals! I was previously playing DW 9000. I do like that you can break this pedal down into 2 singles, as I use 2 bass drums for my live setup. The adjustability on these is seemingly endless! I've owned for a couple years now with no issues and would recommend to anyone seeking an all around awesome pedal. I've attached a video using these pedals at 230bpm. Enjoy!

How you feel about this pedal depends on how you mostly practice...
How you feel about this pedal depends on how you mostly practice. If you're used to doing most of your practicing behind a kit with a chain drive pedal, then the Demon direct is an acquired taste.

I started out by converting my Demon direct to a Demon chain (I was curious about the "perfect circle" feel.) Once I got used to the light weight beaters, I switched it back to direct drive, made some adjustments, and now I love the darn thing! During my experimentation period I discovered why the P3002D pedal fits me better than any chain drive (yes, I've played a DW 9000, and it does feel great.) The reason is, since I not a gigging player anymore, I have limited exposure to my kit. I'm forced to practice my foot moves without a pedal. If I'm riding shot gun, I'm seat slapping and floor stepping. If you think kit practice gets on folk's nerves, you won't believe the "Please Quit-its" you'd get from the driver (in this case, my ol' (not old) lady) when you're slappin' and steppin'! At work, alone in the break room: slappin' and steppin'. In my office (the Nerd Cave): desk slappin floor steppin'...

The point being, once dialed in (factory setting best fits me,) The pedal feels like... no pedal!

Finally
Best pedals I've played on in my life. I've tried my fair share of the higher end pedals and these are innovation at its finest. I've played on chain pedals all my life Never have I been able to convert the pedal to two single pedals, let alone completely switch from split board to full board pedals... Finally get to experience what I've been missing out on. I love these pedals, Demon-Drive are my go-to favorite piece of equipment I've ever purchased.

Built for speed, delivers on feel
So I'm not a highly technical player but I wanted a direct drive double pedal so I can at least practice and keep my skills sharp for moments where double kick is the only thing you want to hear. I personally really like the feel of a direct drive, even for non-speedy music. These feel amazing under my feet and so responsive I actually can get away with moving less, meaning better endurance behind the kit. It's not night and day difference but enough that I'm satisfied with this as my primary kick.

Pearl is the gold standard
I've been using Pearl pedals and hardware for years. They're quality is unrivaled. I'm not much of a double bass drum player. I play mostly oldies, dance, party music. I put together a heavier rock project and wanted something I could break down to a single pedal. Patrick,my sales rep turned me onto these when I was looking for an upgrade from my Redline. I didn't want to spend that much on a bass drum pedal. But I'm glad I did. Best BD pedal hands down. From drums to hardware to pedals Pearl is what everyone else aspires to be. Buy it. You will not regret it.
