Reviews

Excellent Compression Pedal!
I needed a compression pedal for my bass while recording. I chose this one based on reviews, Youtube, etc. Works great!! Really provides a nice, even, smooth "phat" tone to my recording signal, which is just what I wanted. I agree with the other reviewers on here. and the demo video for this pedal, in that it compresses with you knowing it's compressing, it's that smooth! It doesn't squash the lows like others can. Thank you Ampeg and SW!!
Simple and effective, economical.
Really enjoying this pedal. Easy to adjust. Sounds great. Doesn't cost a fortune.
Perfect amount of compression..
The perfect blend of compression to your tone without squashing your sound…. adds a great smoothness to your lows…. really brings down some high notes to an even level… great to just leave on as you play… and a must have for slap bass!!

WOW!
So to be honest, I was never one that liked bass pedals. Usually a bass, to tuner, to amp kind of guy. I have recently started using some effects, like fuzz, wah, chorus...then I was told by a friend I should try a compressor...I was like I have one in my amp (An Ampeg Portaflex) but let me say this pedal has brought my sound to a level I never grasped! WOW!

I did not know how much I needed a compressor until I tried one and this one is simple and effective! It goes from a mild compression all the way to a full on 'squish'. Just three simple dials and really cool LEDS. Other pedals may come and go, but this one has probably earned a spot on the board to stay

Great pedal, great sound, great company and a great retailer! Not to mention Nick Graham is also a great guy and there for me if I needed anything!

Thank you!

AMAZING SOUND!!!
My Sweetwater Engineer (Danny Mosco) recommended the Ampeg Opto Comp pedal to get the best sound out of my Jackson JS3V bass and Acoustic B100C amplifier...
His comment was that it would make my guitar sound rich and "buttery smooth"...and WOW...was he ever spot-on!!
Setting the dials on the Opto Comp to match the Sweetwater video...I was completely amazed at how rich, clear and smooth my bass sounds...yes...buttery smooth...and the rest of my Worship Team were blown away at how it sounded when blended with the guitars and keys!!!

Thank you, Danny, and Sweetwater for helping me build such an awesome kit!!
After playing drums for most of my adult life...I'm having an AWESOME time playing bass again!!!
