Best keyboard stand I've ever owned!

K&M Omega has to the most rugged and lightweight stand ever built. The precise engineering that went into the design is astounding. You have total flexibility with height and width and enough room for not only your pedals for the bottom keyboard, but enough room for your upper keyboard pedals as well with room to spare. All the locking knobs are perfectly sized to easily tighten and loosen. I use mine in my studio but this stand easily breaks down for the road musician into a small, easy to carry portable stand. I've owned Ultimate, Quicklok, On-Stage and other keyboard stands but the K&M Omega is the best, hands down. Oh, and the optional red is far more eye catching than all the other black stands.

The best consumer level stand so far

Just some background here. I use 2 controllers with a laptop. I needed a stand that had a laptop holder accessory as well as an option to attach a DAC unit. This stand is the only off-the shelf stand that I found that has all of that. It is pretty darn sturdy except the laptop arm does shake a bit when I am pounding away at the controllers. Nothing has failed on it though and the components are pretty heavy duty. I also have the second tier arms and they are pretty heavy duty. The reason that I do not give this stand a 4 or better rating is because the second tier does not adjust low enough vertically. At it's lowest setting the 2 keyboards are close to a foot from each other. Perhaps 10 inches. I go from one keyboard to another very quickly with either hand and needed a stand that would enable me to set the controllers up as vertically close to each other as possible. To be fair, I have not found a stand other than the Apex Column that allows for the two keyboards to be so close. And this is the only stand that I could find with the arm for a laptop. To love the problem I created a 5" high riser out of styrofoam for the bottom keyboard to sit on. I was going to post pictures of what the set up looks like but I don't see a way to do that here. I conclusion, I really don't think that the keyboard stand manufacturers are on top of what keyboard players really need in a stand now days. Especially when it comes to building a compact, integrated solution for multiple keyboards and computer technology. But this stand is the best one that I have found without having one custom made.
