Perfect vocal package for loud stages!

I bought this package as an addition to my current mic inventory for live sound. Overall I am very impressed with all of the equipment here. It's definitely a great deal!

The OM-7 has blown me away in terms of both its sound quality and performance in tricky live sound situations. I work with bands who are consistently very loud and I have always had trouble keeping the vocals on top and feedback free. This mic has been a game changer. It's tight pickup pattern, though best used with disciplined singers who sing close to the mic, really allows for some extreme gain before feedback as well as phenomenal isolation from other instruments on stage. It gives a clear vocal with plenty of detail - a nice option to have when the SM-58's sound quality isn't quite enough. The musicians who have used it say that it's noticeably better with IEM's too - they like the increased isolation the hypercarioid pattern allows for.
One thing to note - The off-axis rejection of this mic is both its strength and weakness. If the vocalist deviates even a little from on-axis, there's a noticeable falloff of signal. Good and consistent mic technique is of upmost importance.
The included clip fits the mic well, and isn't nearly as tight as the clips for the SM-58/57 which is good in my opinion. There is also a metal thread adapter included with the clip, which is a nice touch.

The 20' XLR cable is of extremely high quality with solid metal connectors.

The stand, though a little squeaky when raised and a little tough to tighten all the way (for the boom) is solid and does the trick. It collapses down to a fairly compact size for travel and storage. The two cable management clips on the stand work great!
