A Proud Part of Any Pro Setup

In the market for a great-playing set of bongos with professional looks and voice to match? Then look no further than the LP Percussion Upscale series. The LP Upscale bongos sport textured, sculpted ash shells with a sumptuous ebony stain that you'll be proud to make the centerpiece of your pro setup. The ash shells' cutting, dry tone is perfectly complemented by a set of handpicked rawhide heads, giving the LP Uptown bongos the authentic response of a traditional percussion instrument with the luxuries of modern shell construction. A welcomed addition to the Uptown bongos are the Comfort Curve II rims, which reduce palm stress for traditional players while still delivering taut, even tension across the skin.

Part of the LP Uptown series

LP's Uptown series of percussion instruments offers real-world professional features at prices you might not expect. Standard features include handpicked rawhide heads and Comfort Curve II rims for a playing experience that will be familiar to most LP players, whether stepping up from the Aspire series or branching out into other territories from the Galaxy series.

LP Percussion Uptown Series Bongos Features:

  • A proud part of any pro percussion setup
  • Sculpted ash wood shells sport a handsome ebony finish

Reviews

Beautiful, well-constructed, and have great tone
Up to now I'd only had my Dad's bongos to play, and they are essentially a toy from the 60s. Recently I was toying with them again and decided to finally try "real" bongos. I found myself ratcheting my budget up as I researched, watched YouTube videos, etc. I came to believe that LP is a top brand, and this set is a great combination of cost and quality considering the whole market, so I took the plunge.

Well, I won the lottery. These bongos have a real quality feel and look. Once tuned, they sound amazing and are really inspiring to play, even at my crappy skill level. The heads are beautiful, and the ash wood construction (which I was initially unsure of) is really gorgeous. Hell, I figure I'll eventually end up with the congas from the same ash material!

In short, they just look, feel, and sound amazing and I can't recommend them strongly enough for a beginner to mid-level player/hobbyist. Go for it!
