A '50s-style Rocker with Dual-humbucker Muscle

The Sire Larry Carlton L3 HH is a '50s-style single-cut that's ready to rock. Boasting an L Junior-shaped mahogany body, this axe possesses an inherently resonant acoustic tone that really roars to life through its twin LC Standard humbucking pickups. You'll be greatly impressed by the playability afforded by the L3 HH's "C"-shaped mahogany neck; its 12-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard, which includes smooth rolled edges, ensures lightning-fast finger action. This solidbody electric guitar brandishes vintage-style hardware, including a wraparound bridge and standard die-cast tuning machines. Light-catching chrome hardware, pearloid dot fingerboard inlays, and a classic-style pickguard round out the L3 HH. Players searching for an economical junior-sized single-cut owe it to themselves to take the L3 HH for a test drive.

L Junior-shaped mahogany body

Carved from a solid slab of mahogany, the L3 HH's classic L Junior-shaped single-cut body teems with '50s-era flair. Mahogany offers an incredibly warm, resonant sound, arming you with a solid core acoustic tone that's primed and ready for anything. The guitarists here at Sweetwater appreciate how light this axe feels when you strap it on. That said, there's nothing lightweight about its sound — it's a heavyweight rocker through and through.

Roaring LC Standard humbuckers

The Sire L3 HH comes equipped with dual LC Standard humbuckers. These vintage-flavored pickups offer enough output to spank the front end of your amplifier, along with all the harmonic-rich overtones you need to really make your playing scream. This electric guitar includes a 3-way pickup toggle switch, along with global volume and tone controls.

Comfortable playability

From the moment you pick it up, you'll have a hard time putting the L3 HH down. Its set-in "C"-shaped mahogany neck plays like a dream, and its 22-fret, 12-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard, which includes smooth rolled edges, facilitates fleet-fingered fretboard maneuvers like nothing else. The L3 HH includes a bone nut and standard die-cast tuners.

If only

I had been looking for these to show since the end of June. In the meantime I buy the tuxedo Sire L7V. Cost almost $ with tax. Great sounding guitar plays like butter BUT... There are places I play where the electrical generates too much noise with single coils. So now the Sire L7V stays home for those places so I pop for another guitar with humbuckers to solve the problem as my Boss Noise Suppressor pedal did not solve the problem.... more wasted money. So the Sire L3 shows up today and I am happy to say this guitar not only sounds and plays great it looks great and it is light. It feels about 4 lbs lighter than the L7V. I love them both but to tell the truth if the L3 would have been available earlier in the year I would have saved the almost $. Don't get me wrong but when I play most places my L7V is my main guitar. I can say I am happy to have a rosewood type LP and one with ebony board and P 90's . I missed seeing the sunburst L3's so I can't be sure if the others have the color and grain patterns mine has... I almost got an open box that didn't have the color the one I have has...I have nothing but good to say about Sire products
