Versatile, dynamic gain options
Developed with renowned metal guitarist Rabea Massaad, The Kraken delivers hefty, versatile gain options. Gain mode I exemplifies classic British-style-friendly mids that create the perfect tonal range for genres like classic rock and metal — this mode especially complements dynamic playing within a hard rock structure. Conversely, Gain mode II provides a tighter, more grinding "American" midrange voice that is perfect for aggressive picking styles and heavy metal riffing.
Channels, effects, and switches
Given its two channels, two master volumes, and effects loop, The Kraken easily plunges into harmonic and stylistic embellishments that you can customize with the supplied footswitches or your own pedal switching system. Switch on the bass focus when using a lower extended range guitar to experience a powerful merge of control and definition. Need to cut down on the wattage? Check out the low-power and single-ended modes to lower wattage or switch valve use.
Versatile power valves
The Kraken comes with bold, boisterously clear 6L6 power valves as standard. But if you’re ever looking to test the waters of its sonic capabilities, you can run warmer, crunchier EL34’s; for the versatile Kraken, these tubes offer subtly different characteristics.
