His signature DiMarzio Kiko Original pickups (in an HSH configuration) are designed to do it all. The neck and bridge humbuckers have medium output and a balanced sound - similar to the PAF Pro, but with a bit more gain. The single-coil in the middle position is warmer sounding and more higher gain than a typical vintage single-coil, and it balances beautifully with the neck and bridge pickups.
