Ibanez KIKO100 Kiko Loureiro Signature Prestige - Transparent Ruby Red Reviews
Kiko Loureiro is a killer guitarist. Whether he's playing metal or jazz fusion, Kiko's always spot on with his tone and technique, and his signature Ibanez solidbody electrics are spec'd to facilitate that level of uncompromised performance. The KIKO100 gives you a comfortable alder S body with a gorgeous flame maple top, and a custom-profile Prestige neck with rosewood fingerboard. The 'board is scalloped from the 19th-24th frets for easier high note bending and tapping. DiMarzio Kiko Original pickups in an HSH configuration deliver a universe of tone, while an Edge vibrato serves up silky whammy action.

Very nice Guitar
Great tone, incredible action and build.
As with any Ibanez Prestige, the quality finish and fretwork is amazing. Switching options on this guitar are superb and give some strat type tones in the 2 and 4 positions. Flawless scratch free glitch free electronics and jacks, the best possibly quality in every component and material. Pickups are medium hot, not honky, very balanced. Can do true metal and shred but still sound incredibly good clean, without being too dark. Beautiful black chrome hardware, incredible flame top. Gotoh tuners overkill on a locking trem, but they are the best. Finest production guitar I have ever owned, better and more consistent then many customs I have had built. Of course an entirely different beast than a Gibson or Fender. Laminated necks on these are extremely stable, don't require frequent truss rod adjustments, less sensitive to humidity changes, and less likely to curve over time. Alder body, maple top, rosewood board work well in the tone department as well. The scalloped fret board on the high frets makes it easier to dig into high bends. Was torn between this and some other Prestige models with two pickups, glad I made this choice for the versatile tones and the pickups are just right for me. Also love the S type neck joint, comfortable and smooth with deep cutouts - can hit all of the high frets with comfort and ease. Also surprisingly light weight for a floyd trem guitar.
