Players Made Requests, and Keeley Listened

Keeley's compressor pedals have gathered worldwide acclaim, and the Keeley Compressor Plus pedal continues the trend by incorporating player-requested features. For instance, the Blend control allows you to bring in some of your dry signal along with the compressed signal for the best of both worlds — dynamic and fatter at the same time. A much-requested Tone control allows you to fine-tune the tone appropriately for any guitar. And the simplified Attack switch makes it faster to dial in a great sound. Whether you want to tame the peaks on a plucky Tele or simply want to fatten up your tone with any guitar, Sweetwater can highly recommend the Keeley Compressor Plus pedal.

Great-sounding compression, without the noise

The Keeley Compressor Plus makes your guitar sound great, without introducing noise into the signal. You also get the controls to shape your sound exactly the way you want it. The Compressor Plus is a pedal you'll never want to be caught without. Whether onstage or in the studio, you'll come to rely on the Keeley Compressor Plus as an essential component of your guitar sound.

Weapons-grade build quality

Keeley's Compressor Plus may be small, but it's packed with ultra-high-grade components. Guitar pedal guru Robert Keeley wouldn't have it any other way. You see, Robert knows that metal film resistors and capacitors translate into ultra-clean operation. In his quest for the absolute sound, he even hand matches transistors to less than 1% tolerance. With its weapons-grade build quality, you can also rest assured that your Keeley Compressor Plus will stand up to road abuse and give you many years of great sound and trouble-free operation.

Keeley Compressor Plus Pedal Features:

  • Compressor pedal for electric guitar and bass
  • High-quality components used throughout
  • Preserves your guitar's natural tone
  • Adds clarity and balances out volume differences between strings
  • Attack switch for simplified setup
  • Blend knob for combining your dry signal with the compressed signal
  • Tone knob for optimizing your sound with any guitar or pickups
  • Metal film resistors and capacitors ensure ultra-clean operation
  • Hand-matched transistors to less than 1% tolerance

Reviews

BLEND is the BOMB!
Keeley pedals are top notch. I saw the sale on his pedals and looked at what was available. After researching via TalkBass and Keeley Customer Service, I decided Compressor Plus was just what I needed to tame the lows on my Peavey T-40 Bass. I've been using a High Pass Filter along with a Bassist Compressor with decent results. I wanted a SINGLE pedal to do both! Keeley confirmed the HPF, after-all, it IS geared toward guitarists. The BLEND pot dials out the sub-sonic mud of my old faithful Bass. Bought her new in '78! The LEVEL brings my passive pickups into the new millennium! A few tweaks of the SUSTAIN and TONE and I've got MY SOUND!

If only the battery was easier to change. At least it has a low amperage draw.
Music background: Started on Drums in the mid '70s. Picked up Bass in the late '70s. Played my Ludwig Smoked VistaLites up until the mid '80s when I went to Bass fulltime. Did the usual weddings/bars gigs, just for fun. I've never been in a band where someone relied on it
Keeley Compressor Plus LTD 4-Knob Compressor
Our band covers 50's-present rock/pop/variety music, so I need a lot of different sounds on tap. I was looking for something to spice up clean solos. I have an old Dyna Comp and a Boss compressor, but was lacking the ability to blend back the clean signal. The Plus LTD 4-Knob gave me this, plus the toggle for single/humbuker pickups. I use an American Standard Strat and a '79 Les Paul Standard thru a Koch The Greg amp(SPX90 & Lexicon processors in parallel FX loop) for a variety of sounds, and this compressor works fantastically in sparkling up my sound! I can cut through the mix with a sweet sizzle on R&B, and crazy chicken pick on country! There is a lot of sonic flexibility in this pedal with the blend, tone, sustain, and level controls. I'm loving it and looking forward to using it this year through a busy winery season!! I highly recommend this pedal!! Also, thanks so much to Tom Maxwell for being super helpful, as usual!! And thankyou Sweetwater for your stellar service!!
Music background: 50 years rock/pop/jazz/country on guitar/keys.
Great Pedal Compressor
I've had this pedal about a month now and I'm enjoying it. I needed it for my 64 Fender Princeton Reverb amp which is very dynamic while recording direct to DAW through a load box. I was occasionally getting clipping when I was really digging in and this helps tame the signal without drastically changing the tone of the guitar.

The pedal is quiet and switches on silently. It has a nice looking metal body and the knobs are smooth and easy to see. I'm using it with single coils and it offers a setting for both those and humbuckers. I actually use it in the humbucker position and to me it sounds less thin, so I'd suggest you try both with your rig.

It's a cool looking pedal and I like it.

Oh my
First off, I agree with every review on here!!

This thing is what I've been hearing on all these 70's albums, live or studio. This is THE sound!! Now, back then, it was the MXR dyna comp that was available. So everyone used it. You can get that dyna comp warmth with the tone knob. Very good sweep range on it. The blend knob is perfect for any and all mixing of your dirty and dry signal. Very easy to use. It's intuitive really.

I got this cool blue one on special last Christmas. Ive never used a keeley pedal on any sort till this one. But it has made me play differently, In a good way.

Bottom line, if your in the market, drop the hammer and get one of these. It will change your idea of tone of you never used a compressor before!

Top Notch!
This is my 2nd, higher end, pedal compressor. I also have the JHS Pulp n Peel. They are both amazing and have super cool things about them. The JHS cost… more. The Keeley ABSOLUTELY holds up and for certain things is better. I highly recommend this pedal! Super versatile and compact.
