Glass Fiber Speaker Cone for Powerful Bass

Behringer collaborated with master speaker designer Keith R. Klawitter, founder of KRK, to design the Nekkst K10S subwoofer, and the result is incredibly punchy, powerful bass. Sporting a glass fiber 10" speaker and 180 watts of power, the Nekkst K10S will add serious thump to any studio monitor system. A variable lowpass filter and phase switch make it easy to dial in the exact response your room and system need. Sweetwater knows that true full-range monitoring needs a sub for accurate bass response. Extend the range of your monitoring system, with the Behringer Nekkst K10S.

Created by a world-class speaker designer

When Behringer decided they wanted to make an exceptional studio subwoofer, they contacted one of the most renowned speaker designers in the world - the founder of KRK, Keith R. Klawitter. Keith designed the unique glass fiber speaker cone, known for its outstanding bass punch and transient response. You can expect powerful, punchy lows and excellent transient response from the Behringer Nekkst K10S subwoofer.

Extended response from a smart cabinet design

You'll notice exceptional bass response with the Nekkst K10S subwoofer, thanks to Keith R. Klawitter's innovative cabinet design. The curvature of the baffle and the dimensions of the front port were designed for extended low frequency response with minimal distortion. You'll be able to make better mix decisions, with cleaner-sounding mixes as a result.

Optimize the sound for your room

On the back of the Nekkst K10S subwoofer you'll find a variable lowpass filter, and the crossover frequency is actually labelled for precise settings when used with Behringer's Nekkst K5, K6, or K8 studio monitors. If you're using a different set of studio monitors, just use your ears to find the right balance between your speakers and the Nekkst K10S subwoofer.

Works great with my existing Behringer monitors

Helps my mixes where I could hear them properly before.

Need some low end in your mixes? Look no further.

As a musician who has heard good and bad things over the years about the manufacturer of this product, I have to say that they nailed it with this one. I would expect nothing less, as they collaborated with the legendary Keith Klawitter (formerly of KRK) .This thing will shake the room on even the most subtle settings so be advised if you live in a residential area with noise ordinances! I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to anyone creating Hip Hop, EDM, or any other bass driven music.

Great Purchase

So, per my other reviews I am not doing any studio recording but rather replacing crappy computer speakers with a better setup for editing video/audio, watching movies, and playing games. I actually took a trip to Sweetwater a couple weekends ago. So many awesome people. I was going to wait on purchasing this woofer but they were able to pull it from the warehouse so I could take a look at it. SOLD. At low volume listening it really rounds out the sound that comes from the Behringer 50USB's that I have. At a higher volume...upon testing there was knocking from the downstairs apartment telling me to shut the **** up...So there's that. All around it's been super versitle with everything that I do. It pairs very nicely with any set of studio monitors in any setting. It was one of those unexpected purchases that I won't regret. Rob Kramer, my sales engineer, was the one I met with at the facility and helped TONS in finding my needs. Now to figure out what else my paycheck is purchasing...

Sub

Great sub for the price. Sound fantastic. Behringer has come along way.

Great little sub

Set up a 5.1 system in my small-ish home theater(14x14) with 5 of the Behringer 1C studio monitors and this sub completed the package. Deep, tight bass from the sub and great sound at the higher frequencies from the monitors. Tommy took care of my order and I couldn't be happier with the sound and service.
