You'll Be Playing Surf Rock Before You Know It

If you're looking for the classic Jazzmaster experience, there's big value in the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster solidbody electric guitar. Despite its affordable price, it offers more than you may expect, including a real bone nut and Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups. The Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster is equipped with traditional Jazzmaster switching (with separate lead and rhythm tone circuits), but with individual volume controls for the bridge and neck pickups for added tonal range. And as far as playability is concerned, the player-favorite "C"-shaped neck is sure to please. Guitarists at Sweetwater have been consistently impressed by Squier's Classic Vibe series, and this Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster is no exception.

Rockin' tone, classic style

These Fender-designed single-coil Jazzmaster pickups give you the classic, hot-rocking tone that single-coils are known for. In addition, with vintage dual-circuit switching and volume and tone controls for each mode, you can explore many tonal options for lead and rhythm playing. And with the vintage-style bridge and “floating” vibrato, you can tap into all kinds of expressive, fun sonic stylings. So whether you're playing jazz or starting a garage band, the Jazzmaster is appointed with the features that throw open the doors to years of sonic exploration and all-around good times — and isn't that what music is all about?

Check this neck out

Over the years, countless players have fallen in love with the neck of the Jazzmaster. The Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster keeps that love affair going with a classic “C”-shaped profile, bolt-on maple neck that is instantly comfortable and playable. The 21 narrow tall frets retain the feel of a '60s original. Experience the feel and response of the neck that made so many surf rock players of the early 1960s adopt the Jazzmaster as the genre's go-to electric.

Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Vintage-designed electric guitar gives you classic Fender tone and vibe
  • Dual Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups for snappy tone with a wide sonic range
  • Rhythm and Lead tone circuits offer a wide range of sonic options
  • Real bone nut allows for smoother tremolo operation than synthetic nuts
  • Player-favorite "C"-shaped neck and narrow tall frets for exceptional playability

Fantastic

Sounded and played great right out of the box, I have an '87 MIA strat and this comes surprisingly close in terms of quality. This Jazzmaster is my 2nd Squier Classic Vibe, and both have been home runs. Love it.

GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK

ALWAYS LOVED JAZZMASTERS - WELL, AT LEAST THE TONES. THE BRIDGE WAS ALWAYS A PROBLEM FOR ME. THE BRIDGE ON THIS ONE IS MUCH BETTER - STRINGS STAY IN PLACE AND THE INTONATION ON THE GUITAR WAS ACTUALLY SPOT ON WHEN I GOT IT.
VERY GOOD BUILD QUALITY AS WELL.
FRET ENDS WERE ALSO GOOD - NO SHARP EDGES BUT THE FRETS DID NEED SOME POLISHING - THEY WERE VERY GRITTY. ALL IN ALL A GREAT PURCHASE FOR ME - QUICK FRET POLISH AND I WAS OFF AND RUNNING.
NICE AND SLINKY TO PLAY NECK, PICKUPS DELIVER THE TRUE JAZZMSTER TONES. IT'S A KEEPER.

Retro Reverie

I've had about four other Jazzmasters over time & one was a pre-CBS model I had in England. This current model is just as good as that one was & the others as well. I did however, changed the bridge for one that afforded me to set the string heights individually. I get the ease of playing at a very affordable price. The finish is superb! One thing about it that I really appreciate is the way the "Whammy Bar" locks into place! No more reaching for it, a real plus.
Music background: I've been playing guitar since 1955 & played professionally during the 60's & 70's.

Buena guitarra a buen precio.

So Very Good

I'm in love. I don't usually write a review the same day I get a new guitar but I knew what I was in for with this one. I used to own a J. Mascis model several years ago but ended up trading it in for something else. I missed having a JM and wanted to get another one. This time, I wanted something a little closer to a traditional design. As soon as I pulled this out of the box and held it, I knew this was what I was hoping for. The neck was perfect, the weight and everything was great. The finish and hardware was in great condition, and I got a "Demo" model. I will change the setup and use my preferred string gauge but that's all personal tweaks. The guitar is great as-is. That's all first impression before even plugging it in! The pickups sound fantastic and everything works. I see no reason to change anything right now. These CV Squier models are the best things going right now, in my opinion. If you're not ready to spend more on a Jazzmaster right now then you can't go wrong with these. They are great guitars at the start but also worth upgrading for tinkerers. It's an offset. It's a little weird. It's a little noisy. It's perfect.

Shouts out to Ed N. again! Been my Sales Eng. for years now. Always great service.
