Patented Jackson Quality at a Wallet-Friendly Price

Nearly four decades of consistent production have made the Jackson Dinky a sought-after, legendary shred machine with options for players of diverse skill levels. The Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32Q DKA Electric Guitar combines affordability with thick, snarling tone and prodigious sustain — courtesy of its resonant and lightweight poplar body, arched quilt maple top, and two high-output humbuckers. You’ll revel in the smooth playability of the maple speed neck, and the fully bound compound-radius amaranth fretboard is fantastic for chording down low and bending up high without fretting out. If you require a solid starter guitar or a roadworthy backup, the Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32Q DKA is an excellent option.

Jackson high-output pickups for aggressive tone

Looking for rock-solid metal tone? The Jackson JS32Q Dinky delivers. That’s because Jackson equips the JS32Q Dinky with a pair of their custom-built, ceramic-magnet humbuckers. Whether you’re plugging into a tube amp or an amp modeler, these high-output humbuckers give you plenty of punch and serious bite. We’ve played a lot of guitars at Sweetwater, and the bang for your buck you get with the JS32Q Dinky is second to none.

Compound-radius fretboard delivers maximum playing comfort and performance

The JS32Q Dinky features a 12- to 16-inch compound-radius fingerboard for ultimate playability. This bound amaranth fingerboard — complete with classic Jackson shark fin inlays — is rounder near the nut for easy rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the JS32Q Dinky’s frets, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big string bends. With a neck that plays this slick, you’ll be up at the 24th fret in zero flat.

Dive-bomb away with a Jackson-licensed Floyd Rose!

The Dinky JS32Q is built for the aggressive player. Its Floyd Rose-licensed double-locking tremolo is so stable that you'll never have to worry about your intonation — even when you really dig in and dive-bomb away.

Jackson JS Series Dinky Arch Top JS32Q DKA Electric Guitar Features:

  • A high-performance guitar at an amazingly low price point
  • Dual Jackson custom humbuckers deliver hard-hitting high-gain tone
  • Compound-radius amaranth fingerboard feels great for rhythm and lead playing
  • Slender graphite-reinforced maple neck for a fast feel and long-term reliability
  • Floyd Rose-licensed double-locking tremolo for epic sustain and dive-bombing stability

Reviews

Wow!
When I decided I wanted to get a new guitar I thought I was going to get another Ibanez. I am a beginner guitar player and I have an Ibanez GIO. I love that guitar and that is why I started looking at a new Ibanez and thought for sure that's what I was going to get. I came across the Jackson Dinky Arch only because it fell within my price range. Then I saw the purple burst color and started to do research on Jackson guitars. Long story short, I love playing 80's hard rock and metal and everything I read about Jackson pretty much told me this was the guitar that I should get. So, I bought it. Since I'm not a very experienced guitar player I can't get really technical with my review. I guess my review would be for beginner guitar players.

What I would say is if you do have the funds to get a Dinky Arch then heavily consider to do so. The tone of the guitar compared to my Ibanez GIO is so much richer I knew immediately I made the right choice. I do love the locking nut and Jackson Floyd Rose tremolo bridge as a lot of 80's metal songs loved to use a tremolo, so this was perfect for me. I have heard there is a love/hate relationship with Floyd Rose bridges. I don't really know why, but I can speak from experience that I just did my first complete string replacement and if you're even a little mechanically inclined it was pretty easy to do so. In the end I couldn't be happier with the Jackson Dinky Arch and I will most likely be looking at Jackson again for a future upgrade.

I knew I was gonna swap the pickups before I bought it but wasn't sure on what to get. I went with Dimarzio AT1 & Air Norton. Couldn't be happier with this guitar for the money and those pickups are a BIG upgrade.
Big Bang for the Buck
I just got this guitar in January with my Christmas money and could not be happier! I'm a retired high school principal and teacher who grew up in the 80's listening to all the good 80's hard rock bands (and still do). I played a little guitar back in the day, but after college life just got in the way and I just didn't have the time for it. Fast Forward 35 years. I just picked it back up in the last 2 years and am playing everyday now. For less than $, this guitar sounds as good or better than many guitars that are much more expensive. I am particularly impressed with the pickups. Yes, they are the cheaper Jackson brand humbuckers which I thought would be the first thing I replaced. However, they are very loud and aggressive. I really like the way they sound so far. The Jackson licensed Floyd Rose is not the best of quality, and I will probably replace it at some point, but again, for $ it does the job rather nicely (crazy squeals and dive bombs). I switched out the original strings for heavier (10/46) and had to add an extra spring in the back to balance the bridge to the nut. The neck is very thin and fast. The body is very lightweight. After playing my Les Paul for a while and then switching over to this, I feels light as a feather. The purple burst finish is really nice looking. I really enjoy this guitar. It sounds great and is very fun to play. I could have spent more on a guitar with name-brand pickups and an original Floyd Rose, but I couldn't imagine it sounding much better. This thing rocks hard and sounds great. If you are looking to get a shredding machine without breaking the bank, this is the guitar for you. Now, saving the best for last: the folks at Sweetwater are unbelievable! If every business extended quality customer service like this, there would be much less anger in the world today! Thank you Sweetwater! I'm a customer for life!

Great first step into higher end guitars.
This guitar feels incredible and has made my learning so much easier. Make sure you to research on locking nuts and Floyd rose's first. I have yet to have an issue with it. If you are interested in metal/rock music this is the one for you.
Amazing Jackson guitar
I've always liked Jackson and recently after a long layoff I decided maybe I needed a new guitar to get me excited again about playing. I decided to spend about a grand on a new guitar, found Sweetwater, and the best guitar for me at 1g and under was this. With the money left over from the 1g I decided to have it run through the Plek system, which still put me under 1g. Let me tell you guys, right here , right now, I will always have the Plek run on my guitar. This guitar is beyond words, amazing...best instrument I've ever played in my 30+ years of off and on musical ride. thank you Sweetwater and especially Ian Chamberlain as my sales engineer, what a great guy, and what a great team. I can't express how satisfied I am with this purchase. All my future purchases are through Sweetwater now, they are that good. Period.
