One of the most versatile clamps anywhere

I own 4 of these particular clamps (along with larger ones, tablet holders, extension arms, swivels, etc all from Triad Orbit). I have a large diaphram condenser studio mic (actually 2) supported in my vocal booth with these, as well as a small capsule mic for guitars in the booth. I recommend over anything else on the market.

And I've had the pleasure to meet all of the Triad Orbit crew numerous times in Anaheim during the NAMM Shows. They are SUPER helpful and a very cool team. They helped me out with suggestions before I ever bought a thing - and remembered me the following year (and I still had not purchased). Following that I ordered from Sweetwater with my Sales Engineer Andy Miller. I am working on eliminating as much floor footprint in my studio as possible and using Triad Orbit to mount everything on walls, ceiling, desk, etc.

Get a few of these clamps along with a small arm and a swivel and you'll be amazed at how versatile they are and how much you can accomplish!

Orbit is the only way to go

The Triad-Orbit IO-C Clamp is the 5th Orbit Clamp I've purchased. I keep finding amazing uses for all of their products and it makes my work around the studio much easier, more efficient, more flexible, and a lot more creative. I've got large condenser mics coming from my vocal booth ceiling and can quickly adjust to any singer for height and angle, and quickly interchange mics without unscrewing anything.

I have the iPad in my vocal booth set up the same way and can not only run lyrics on it for singers, but if I'm using it to record myself I can have my DAW remote software set on it and position it anywhere i want in a matter of seconds.

I have 2 light diffusion panels on my studio walls to give good lighting for videos. I have them mounted to Triad-Orbit gear as well - just seconds to set perfectly.

Expensive? At first look, yes. But the ease of use and amount of creative things you can do with these - not to mention how extremely well made they are - will make them a "must-have" tool in your creative journey!

Great for drums

This clamp makes it easy to use a boom or stand for more than one mic. Well made and does the job.

Versatile

All the triad orbit products are outstanding. I bout the clamp and the flexible extension arm after I had already used several other strands and booms from Triad-Orbit. I mix them all around for many uses and this clamp allows for use with booms, arms, guitar holder, iPad holder....all parts work together for many uses......expensive but worth it.

Versatile Accessory

I am using this clamp with the Orbital Arm and Laptop Platform on a standard tripod mic stand with boom arm. This is yet another accessory in the Triad-Orbit line that does a superb job where no other similar devices exist.

- Rock-solid clamping to standard mic stand widths (not the tiniest boom arm extension, however)
- Quick tightening / release
- No plastic parts (silicon grips, with spare set), clear silicon thread sleeve to prevent marring where clamp meets clamping surface (nice touch)

Yes. The Triad-Orbit system is expensive, but my uncle always said two things - You get what you pay for, and Pay a little more, get better service.

I haven't had to avail myself of Triad's service but if their products hold up over time, the only service I'll need from them are more parts / accessories to add to my collection.
