Surprising Range

I don't usually buy shotgun mics, so the concept was intriguing. I use this to capture sounds for my videos. I was surprised at the directional properties of this microphone. I went out side one morning and captured some background sounds of the morning. I was very pleased. BTW, I use this with my Zoom H6. I believe it's compatible with the Zoom H8 as well. Testing as soon as I get back home.

This mic works really well and seems clean enough for any interview. I am unclear as of yet how this works in actual wildlife conditions, how well it picks up at what angles, but judging from vocal recordings this mic should work really well.
