Name Says "Mic" But Great For Mic BOOMs

We use mic-stand mounted Powered Monitor Speakers, and, while the monitor speaker drops in atop a screw-in mic stand adapter provided by the manufacturer, but it's really unwieldy to screw the boom in at the TOP of the monitor speaker. We found the Gator Frameworks Quick-release Mic Attachment at Sweetwater and bought a set of 3. You still have to fiddle with it a bit to get the boom not to swing around (I recommend having a soft-jaw plier available), but it's SO much better than trying to screw in the boom every time you're setting up and breaking down! The construction of the Quick-release adapters is very robust. We're very happy with them!

Really Helps With Setup

The Gator Frameworks Quick-release Mic Attachment seems to be really well made and will be very helpful in setting up our mic stands and booms more quickly and easily at gigs, especially since we use personal active monitors attached to our stands and bo longer have to struggle screwing in the booms at the gig.

Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-QRTOP Quick-release Mic Attachment

This comes in real handy, I use one to switch a gooseneck in/out of a boom for overhead mics if I need extra length, another to quickly attach paddle antenna for IEM receiver to mic stand when I need that, and if not, I can pop a mic holder onto the same mic stand for an extra vocal mic, just takes a second. Hate wasting time setup/takedown.

So far so good

These things are great. I like them so much I'm also using them to make my stands more versatile so I can quickly switch out boom arms or change to a blumlein bar or whatever. The only issue really is once you start doing it for any of your mic holders and stands you end up wanting to do it for all of them. I definitely think it is worth it and I will likely get use out of more of my mics just because now it is so easy to swap things.
