Your Music Needs the Electromatic Jet Baritone

The Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone solidbody electric guitar adds an exuberant, versatile voice to your sonic palette that’s also delightfully accessible. Tuned B-to-B with a 29.75-inch scale length, the baritone range sits right between your bass and guitar/keyboard parts, providing the glue for thick, powerful mixes onstage and in the studio. The G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone sports a mahogany body, a fast bolt-on Thin "U" maple neck with a silky laurel fingerboard, and a pair of Gretsch mini humbucking pickups.

Mini humbuckers serve up classic Gretsch tone

When you want classic ’50s-era Gretsch tone, Sweetwater guitarists agree that you need real Gretsch humbuckers. That’s why Gretsch gave the G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone a pair of Gretsch mini humbucking pickups. These humbuckers give you traditional Gretsch growl and grit, as well as deliver pristine clean tone when needed. In addition, master volume and tone controls provide exceptional tonal range and control, putting you in the driver’s seat as you explore your own style.

Smooth playability

The G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone features a maple neck cut to a Thin "U" profile that players love for its comfort and incredible response. The 22 medium jumbo frets are ideal for single-note lines as well as playing chords up and down the neck. The laurel fingerboard sports iconic pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays that exude vintage Gretsch vibe. And with an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge with V-Stoptail, you get great sustain and intonation. Guitarists (and bassists) at Sweetwater dig the Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone. So will you.

In love

I am originally a bass player and wanted an electric guitar I could down-tune to get a really beefy low end sound. This guitar has worked incredibly well and easily lived up to my expectations. It's versatile, fun to play, has a beautiful tone and I can get super low with it while still maintaining tension and definition. I'm in love. This Gretsch baritone has been well worth the modest price tag for what you get.

I don't know much about baritones, but this thing slaps

I love it. Tunes b to b, it plays like a dream. Finish is very dark, but classy. Mini humbuckers are dark, deep, and moody. If you're considering dipping your toe into baritones, this is a great buy.

Gretsch Magic - Again

I own and actually love playing my Gretsch Baritone. When I purchased it - I wasn't quite sure what I'd be getting into - what I've found out is that I wish I'd gotten it a lot sooner. Easy to handle, fun to play, and I'd get another in a nano-second. In fact, though I have several very nice, and more expensive guitars, I've that the sound, the quality, and the handling of this model of Gretsch truly makes it a first choice.

WOW...Wow .... Wow!

Ok.... So I went back and forth on "Do I really need this guitar?" I am lucky to have a nice collection of some great guitars but had been doing some research on baritones and what they can do. Looked at the current Danelectro (pretty cool) and others but the Gretsch kept popping up in Best of Reviews so began to settle in on considering one and boy am I glad I followed through. First off the Imperial Stain model is a beauty. When I unpacked her and strapped her on I actually laughed out loud. I could feel the low end actually in my chest ....unamplified. Add some reverb and tremolo and she transports you to a different time warp. Straight up you could easily play out some great bass lines on first four strings. Inspiration wise this ax is leading me to some pretty great places. This instrument plays like a dream. Didn't think I would be this impressed but boy am I ever. Gretsch really stepped up here. The build is perfect.
Do I recommend this instrument....Oh Heck Yes!!
Thanks to Cameron Green for walking me through this most rewarding purchase!
