Despite its compact size, you get impressive punch and tone from the Design Series Frequent Flyer shell pack. The secret is DW's HVLT (kick, toms) and HVX (snare) shell constructions, which use multiple plies of maple arranged with alternating grain orientations. By alternating the direction of the wood grains, shells are more rigid, enhancing projection and attack.
Better tuning with DW's True-Pitch tension rods
You'll have more control over your tuning with DW's True-Pitch tuning rods. These tension screws have 20% more threads than do standard rods, for greater accuracy and control.
