Triad-Orbit GB-3 Weighted Grav-Bags
These Grav-Bags are worth their weight in gold. In this case whatever they put in them. I have tried using ankle and wrist weights which work O.K. But they are hard to work with and they can cost as much as the GB-3's.

I find the GB-3's much easier to work with and store. If you are using a standard tripod mic-stand. Then the GB-3 Grav-Bags can give you some piece of mind knowing that your mic-stand should be a bit more stable.

Got this to help stabilize a large, heavy ribbon mic. The ballast bags are versatile and useful and perfectly suited to the task. My only complaint is the price... I'd probably buy a few more sets to use around the studio if it was in the $50 - $70 range.
