Good budget IEM system

Works well! Once you find a clean channel, the sound is VERY clear and there are very little to no dropouts. Just for comparison, I use a Shure PSM300 as my main IEM system. Aside from having to find your own clean channel and a few other small things, the Galaxy works just as good functionality wise.

The receiver is much better built than I expected, although it is plastic. The transmitter is built well as well. Good battery life; Still on the original AA batteries it came with after multiple practice sessions.

I think my biggest complaint about it are the volume knobs on the back of the transmitter. I'm running this unit in stereo, and it's difficult to perfectly balance the left and right output on the back of the transmitter with the volume knobs. They don't click or have any markers or anything, you just have to kinda feel how far you turn one and hope you turn the other one the same amount to get a good balance.

Do plan on upgrading the headphones in the box. They work for what they are, but I'd highly recommend upgrading them.

Also if you're mounting this in a rack case like I did, get the BNC connector/cable straight form Galaxy Audio to mount the antenna on front of the rack. The antenna is huge and will not fit inside a rack case.

One more note, the mounting hardware is kinda cheap and flimsy. It'll hold up just fine, but it's just something I noticed compared to the mounting hardware that come with the Shure and Sennheiser IEM systems.

All in all, it's good system so long as you are able to find a good clean channel

Yaaas Queen

First and foremost, this is my first set of IEM so take this as you will. Easy set up, i personally think they work fantastic. Literally plug and play. Zero delay. I went ahead and ordered a set of shure earbuds to replace the ones included. The included ones work fine, but they aren't over the ear, which makes banging my head quite risky with these. Do yourself a favor, save some cash, buy this bad Larry. You won't be disappointed.

Sounds great and that's what I want.

After years of using loud monitors practicing and playing out, finally took the leap into in-ears. I've had a nice set of Mackie in-ears I used for one band I am in. Was used for practice only. New project I'm in, we decided to go with in-ears for practice and some shows. After a few months of running wired in for practice. Constantly getting my ears pulled by the cord getting caught on pedals and stuff, it was time to go wireless. Researched and compared Shure, Sennheiser, Galaxy, and XVive.
Didn't want to spend a ton of money but also didn't want it to sound terrible. My bass player has a very nice Shure system, and my singer has the XVive. The XVive sounds good but does have a bit of a latency. It's slight but being a guitar player its noticeable. Reminded me a bit like a good pitch shifter. Barely noticeable but it affects your attack. My bass players Shure system sounds great. It also seems very durable and has a nice display. I bought the Galaxy. I am very happy with it. Absolutely no latency and sounds just as good as the Shure system. Have not had a problem with cutting out or any sound issues. The colored LED meter works great. I have the unit racked and the antenna in the back. We practice in the basement and could still hear everything when I went upstairs and ran out to my car. The wireless pack definitely is not as durable as the Shure unit but for almost a quarter the cost. I can just buy a replacement if it breaks. Great sound and value!!! Would buy again.

Just what I needed...

I used to be plugged into a very long aux chord. Well, right before this system got here, I was walking off the stage and suddenly felt a tug on my ears. I turned around and realized I forgot to unplug myself and had dragged that chord across everything! Luckily, only a few people saw it. When I got home the next day, this In-Ear Monitor System was there waiting for me. It's been working great and now few more people in the group have gotten one or are getting one.

Made a huge difference in my performances

Getting a good monitor mix in small venues was always a challenge and I found in most cases I could not hear my own vocals or the backing tracks and sometimes guitars well live. These made a huge difference. My only complaint was that the ear buds that came with it did not have anything that hooked over my ears so if I adjusted my bass strap or switch basses sometimes I would pull a side out. I purchased a set of ear buds for performance that have those, and now I use the ones that came with this for listening only- they still sound great.
