Hybrid Metal Acoustic Guitar Strings

Cleartone EQ Hybrid Metal Acoustic guitar strings are a revolutionary new way to get the best tone from your beloved flat top. The EQ strings utilize a copper-bronze low E string, a phosphor bronze A and D strings, and an 80/20 wound G string. This process pre-EQs the overall sound of your guitar to get the most out of each string's inherent character. Give your acoustic guitar its best voice by grabbing yourself a set of Cleartone EQ acoustic guitar strings from Sweetwater.

Treated acoustic strings

Thanks to Cleartone Strings and their EMP technology, coated strings sound better than ever. Cleartone's EMP (Enhanced Molecular Protection) is a patent-pending process that extends the string's life by protecting it against oils from your hands, elements in the air, and general string deterioration. EMP coating doesn't feel slick or slippery, and it won't flake off. You won't even know it's there. It helps your strings stay fresh and clean without killing your tone.

Cleartone EQ Hybrid Metal Acoustic Strings Features:

  • Acoustic guitar strings with a mix of metals
  • Wound strings are individually voiced with different metals
  • EMP coating gives strings longer life without killing the tone
  • Longer lasting than conventional strings
  • .012-.053 light gauge

Reviews

My New Go To Acoustic Strings
I've tried a lot of strings over the years and there are many very good brands out there, but Cleartone 812 EQ Hybrid Metal Acoustic Guitar Strings are definitely a level above all others. The different alloys for the wound strings is really genius. They ring out beautifully. When my wife heard the strings, she was very impressed with sound of the them. Her response..."Beautiful!". I will be using Cleartone strings from now on. Thanks, Cleartone!

My new favorite
Bought these for my Gibson j35 hoping to restore the tone I had been missing. Gibson stopped making the Master built line of strings that came on the guitar when purchased new and I have tried many different types since with no luck. I gave these strings a shot and to my dismay they sound amazing! Not sure of the science but the combination of copper and phosphorus just balances the tone perfectly creating a tone better than I have ever heard come out of my j35. These strings are coated to make them last longer but they feel like normal strings when fretting. I think the trick is that the coating is very very thin unlike other coated strings out there at a lower cost. Give these strings a shot, they are well worth it! I play finger style and with a pick, I play on a Gibson j35 collectors edition with a terrified spruce top and a nut width of 1.77" . It is a very sensitive acoustic when it comes to strings, hope this helps

Perfect match !
I bought a Washburn HD 10S guitar and hardshell case $300 brand new. It came with cleartone strings from the factory. Let me say that I absolutely loved this instrument and I played it daily for 1 yr at church and home. These strings looked new a year later ! They are better than the elixir strings by far. No one around here sells these strings so I have used others since. But now it's time to go back to the best. CLEARTONE !

Great and reduces feedback.
I have these on two of my (7) premium acoustic guitars. Maybe it's my imagination, but it reduces the tendency to feedback on various amps. I have a hard time understanding the guys that say "one gig and their dead," or "don't last as well as..." I have to wonder if these guys are playing in rainstorms or deserts. Folks the key to longevity, and tone--to a lesser extent--is balanced humidity. I find the strings excellent and balanced, and I usually keep my guitars in my open HUMIDITY controlled studio, whereby I get a good six months longevity.
Try playing with a pick and not a quarter or some other metal. Might want to wash your hands before playing?
Music background: Semi-pro, studio co-owner, music producer.
Great strings, best I ever had on my acoustic guitar
Right of the packing they look so bright and yes louder than any other strings ever owned. Will not buy any other strings from this day forward.
