Hybrid Metal Acoustic Guitar Strings

Cleartone EQ Hybrid Metal Acoustic guitar strings are a revolutionary new way to get the best tone from your beloved flat top. The EQ strings utilize a copper-bronze low E string, a phosphor bronze A and D strings, and an 80/20 wound G string. This process pre-EQs the overall sound of your guitar to get the most out of each string's inherent character. Give your acoustic guitar its best voice by grabbing yourself a set of Cleartone EQ Acoustic guitar strings from Sweetwater.

Treated acoustic strings

Thanks to Cleartone Strings and their EMP technology, coated strings sound better than ever. Cleartone's EMP (Enhanced Molecular Protection) is a patent-pending process that extends the string's life by protecting it against oils from your hands, elements in the air, and general string deterioration. EMP coating doesn't feel slick or slippery, and it won't flake off. You won't even know it's there. It helps your strings stay fresh and clean without killing your tone.

Cleartone EQ Hybrid Metal Acoustic Strings Features:

  • Acoustic guitar strings with a mix of metals
  • Wound strings are individually voiced with different metals
  • EMP coating gives strings longer life without killing tone
  • Longer lasting than conventional strings
  • 0.011-0.052 custom light gauge

Reviews

Great Set!!!
I tried these out and really liked the sound. They stayed bright for a while, and the mix of alloys they chose sounded great. I will use these again. I also use fast-fret after I play and Dry and Glide before.
Music background: I've been playing for 46 years.
Nice Strings
I have recently tried these strings and I would buy them again. They have a unique sound and was amazed . Unlike any others I've ever used they feel great and sound sweet.
Music background: 46 years of playing
Great Tone
On my G Series Takamine these sounded fantastic right away. I've been using D'Addario for ages and I never liked how they sounded until they were at least a week or two old - just too bright up until that point. Once they mellowed out they were great but that shimmer didn't last long at after that. I've had these EQ's on for three weeks now, played 3 festivals with horrible weather, played 3 worship sets on them, and to my ear the tone has been consistent. Every time I pick up the guitar I notice the balanced yet shimmery tone. If these lost longer than the D'Addario's, I think I've found a new string!
Music background: Musician, Engineer, Worship Leader
New strings
Put these on for first time. Noticed difference right away. Without amp my acoustic Yamaha apxIII which is slightly tangy because its a thin body now sounds full but more so when amped. They play well, hold tune very well and sound great. Hope they have 12 string sets available for when I get my cpx700 12 string .
Low E went "dull" too quickly
The low E string had a bright sound to start but the tone quickly dulled within a week or 2. I ended up replacing it with an 80/20.
